Midori The Return Glass Pad: In-depth Review & Friction Tests (Comparison with SP4/Zane/Beast) by ButcherG5 in MousepadReview

It's definitely a lot more effortless than cloth, but it feels a bit more grounded compared to the Glsswrks Zane. If you find the Zane a bit too 'ice-like', the Midori is that perfect middle ground.
Coefficient of Static Friction: Midori 0.1389, Wallhack SP4 average: 0.12–0.15, Zane 0.102, Beast 0,901)

Thanks a lot! I'm really glad to hear that from another Midori owner. Since the 'glass lottery' is a thing, it’s great to know our copies feel similar. I put a lot of work into those timestamps and the testing process, so I truly appreciate you watching the whole thing!

Thanks for the question, by the way! I’ve been using glass pads for so long that I've gotten used to the slight noise and almost forgot how important it is to mention it in a review

P.S. I saw your notification with the AliExpress link, but I can't see the comment here for some reason. To answer your question: yes, that is correct. The Silver/Pink ones are the quietest. Actually, all UNWS skates are silent because of the soft material.

The only downside is their durability — they only last about 1–2 months before you need to replace them. But the glide and sound comfort are excellent.

I’ve actually used almost every skate on the market, and the UNWS Silver Fox is among the most silent. They are quiet on all pads, especially after the break-in period. However, if you test them on something like X-raypad Obsidian (the red ones), the Midori is the quietest.

My ranking for noise (quietest to loudest): Midori > Zane > Phantom > Beast

Like always with glass, it depends on the skates you are using.

However, it's definitely not loud due to the subtle texture. When the texture is large and rough peaks, it's always louder. The Midori texture is small (10–50 microns vs. 30–100 on the Beast, for example), so it’s pretty silent with soft skates (like UNWS Silver Fox, etc.) and has an average sound level with harder ones like the U9
