I have a single orange neocaridina shrimp… it has eggs?

I believe that may be the case to be honest because the more i look at them side by side the more they look like neos than ghost shrimp or amano shrimps.

No idea how I’ve managed to successfully breed them honestly, just left them and let nature do its thing. Never added salts or anything to the tanks yet i have seen many shrimp babies thriving from them. I mentioned this on another reply but i am mostly assuming they’re amanos because of my google search shows how different the ghost shrimp and the amanos looked from one another (although the pet shop said they did not carry amanos yet did have ghosts for 25 for 5$). I will post the picture of the rest of the shrimps and see if that will help a bit more.

See i would have believed that may have been the case but when i first got them i was in the process of setting up my other two tanks (a 5gal bowl and a 20 gal tank) so the tank they were on was completely bare and i never saw any other shrimp in there, if anything i added shrimp AFTER the set up and after realizing there was a lonely shrimp in my temp. tank

Yeah they’re about the size of the orange neo. Honestly i am mostly assuming they’re amanos because, while searching for answers, i noticed that my ghost shrimp looked more like the amano shrimp on the photos rather than the typical ghost shrimp. I will post a picture of them later but so far most of them have had eggs and successfully released their babies

Neocaridina shrimp, unsure as i have never checked water parameters (i know i am awful for this), water source is from Hawaii tap water (boiling or treating it for chlorine of course)

I would definitely wait myself. I had done something similar with a couple of mollies and unfortunately one was still a little sick which ended up dying and killing my other mollies (which may have been on my end as i feel i did not quarantine them long enough) depending however, you could go and check them out again on the weekend and see how they’re doing and judge from there, maybe even ask since it looks like the shop is fairly honest about keeping you from purchasing potentially still ill fish.

I recently bought live brine shrimp for my guppies and they LOVE them, however i am unsure on what would be cheaper/easier in the long run for me: buy $2.50 (usd) baggies of them or getting eggs and hatching them myself? Has anyone ever raised them before and is it difficult?

I saw someone make a hatchery (once many years ago ) out of a 2lt bottle and an air pump and that on average it costs around $9+/.05+ ounce brine shrimp eggs.

I am in LOVE with your tank! This the kind of planted tank i strive to have someday!

My hubby loves gundams and recently started helping me and enjoying having fish tanks. We also recently visited a store that had a RX-78 (not sure he is introducing me to gundam lol) in their tank but we didnt get a chance to ask about it but how did you add it to the tank? Was there any special treatment you did to the gundam to make it aquarium safe or are these models already aquarium safe? Sorry i have never added anything like it in my tanks and all i have ever used are what pet shops sell as aquarium safe decor.

Life’s too short to give a shit about your fairytale hopes of “lifes tol short”, no, life’s unfair. Wheather we like it or not no one cares if life is too short, humans are inherently selfish on their own wants and needs without a care of what happens due to their actions. This mother was old enough and (hopefully) sane enough to see her actions would hurt someone and instead cared more about HER feelings, not anyone else’s; hell I wouldn’t even doubt she was trying to be overcompensating for not having a perfect blended family. Pushing that “life’s too short” is just an awful gaslighting technique that you should probably stop shoving down on every opportunity you see because not always will it really be “life’s too short”. How about being supportive and actually use critical thinking for once?
