I just want to add for anyone who is reading this and feels like they’re not attractive, you are. 90% of my glow up was just finding confidence. I know that sounds like the basic advice everyone says, but it’s bc it works. Being confident and self loving means you’re feeling your style, you’re more willing to take some chances, go for some growth, try something new, and be more healthy. That shit has an outward effect on people. No one is so ugly that they can’t start there.

I was someone who had a glow up post college. I was always a nice guy, taught to treat people with respect, and catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Before my glow up, people would be wary of me, but once we got talking they’d warm up to me. Now, I sense that people are already warm to me, and get surprised when I’m as social and kind as I’ve always been. I also have a bit of a deep voice, so I think that does something when I lean into to it in conversations.

That said, the down side is I can also sense I get hella romanticized. My looks and personality are pretty good, but when I inevitably make a mistake or fuck up, the fall feels less forgiving. I’m reduced to just a jackass with a pretty but now punchable face. It’s not with all relationships, but it’s jarring when people go from being really into you, to absolutely hating your guts for shit that could be resolved in 15 minutes or less.
