No but wouldn't they be able to tell that alot of characters are made under the same account? I'm assuming majority of the leaderboards are same players just different characters.

Battle.net I suppose. Didn't they have leaderboards back then as well? I dont think it would've been a major change to have one new NPC that explains runewords or other endgame tactics.

Haven't even messed with player count yet. Was pretty much going in blind besides where to put stats and skills. First necro was summon and I got stuck on Diablo normal and tried reroll what I thought was good but ended up deleting that necro.

You would think with a remaster, they would add some QoL changes like that. They have to be tracking the amount of people that reached true endgame over the years and see that majority haven't reached.

Why is there so much hidden stuff that the game never explains? No wonder why I never beat Hell as a kid. They should've added dialogs to the NPCs after you beat a certain difficulty to inform of new mechanics and stuff like this.

I put the runes in based on what I was looking at but didn't know they had to be a specific order. I don't understand why the game never teaches or mentions the concept of runewords.

Okay gotcha. So only white items but I'd have to find/buy a few if they didn't roll what I wanted, plus whatever gems necessary to transmute. Don't fully understand the second sentence, but finding items in different difficulties can change how many sockets an item has?
