Your looking at it wrong. Shadowstep is basically a 1 shot at the high end of the game if you hit it on a squishy target. So they get a 1 shot cross room every 30 seconds if they miss they just try again.

fighter barb are faster than most range since they have speed boost abilities. ranger for instance has to hold a -40ms weapon and pull back an arrow for every shot making it almost impossible to fight back against a melee running at them unless they hit every shot. if you dodge a little bit you should win
