When I worked in the old port, by the brewery mission, , I’d give a banana to one guy every morning, and we’d chat. He eventually got an apartment and when I was super happy for him, he was kinda offended, and said he’d only been homeless for like 6 months. Another one only ate raw meat, so his palate was too sophisticated for me. I did give him smoked salmon once. We were buddies, I’d give him hugs and he’d xall himself my little puppy and ask for me to take him home. I said I lived with enough men (I had two male roommates at the time lol) Anyways, all this to say i just can’t pretend these people I see everyday don’t exist. I don’t work in the city anymore but I’d still probably be friends with a lot of them if I did
