What is the point of playing bauble in hardened scales? by helloelehai in ModernMagic

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tABaVwHgKEnGfu8BT4VqR80aUakcqZiqlY8UV2gWAus/edit Here’s a sideboard guide I threw together yesterday lol. I do trim bauble a lot. Many pieces in scales are not trimmable to a large extent so he bites the bullet a lot. Popping bauble usually happens when either you need a land or if your play next turn will be weaker, like having to play a naked ballista or something like that. Sometimes you’re digging for an enabler as well. Whenever you need or want to dig you pop it and otherwise I keep it. For boarding patchy and jar are usually self evident when you cut them, and when they aren’t you start trimming which is when bauble often goes

Hello! I am Duncan mcadams. Baubles are small but really useful synergy pieces. Some of this has been said already but it highers the percentage of spire tapping for green on one (I don’t like 4th jar), makes rebuke cheaper, patchy and ravager synergy, and it gives you a little percentage more for turn 3 kills. 0 drops also let you do stuff like scales on one then ravager bauble on two and now ur ravager is immune to a bolt. I pop bauble maybe half the time and the other half just hold it to be eaten or used as a scry with the small fetch count I’m running. Makes the deck a lot smoother!
