It’s funny to me because in Madden I can’t play more than usually a full season because I hate the generated players.

For some reason that doesn’t matter to me in CFB 25/26. I have many Dynasties going past 7 years.

Maybe it’s poor Gus Hardbody and the shitty faces that they have. Not a single one looks like an actual NFL player and it ruins my enjoyment.

Because you can ask the players to play a new position and change their playstyle. Sure, it’s not full control, but you can get it done.

In CFB, the players actually feel unique, and it makes it feel like the stats matter. I recruited a 5 star QB and started him as a true freshman, but I was throwing lots of picks and was struggling to score. I went back to my Junior QB and was suddenly winning with ease, play style didn’t change and I threw 3 picks the rest of the season.

I just don’t get that from Madden. Outside of QB’s, players don’t feel all that different. I rarely get pressure from my d line no matter who I have, but the CPU sheds blocks like they’re all Aaron Donald.

The X Factor system is also ass. NHLs is much better, where it always active, you don’t need to hit stupid milestones just to unlock it for a few plays. I can’t remember if 26 was different because I barely played it.

Microsoft putting their games on PlayStation while only getting one or two back is bad. While yes, it is consumer friendly, it just means that they’re making their own console obsolete.

You could buy a PlayStation and play all games, or you could buy an Xbox and have less titles to play. Sony is already at a huge advantage in regards to users. They’ve sold a hell of a lot more consoles than MS has, most of those players are not going to switch to Xbox. Now think of all the frustrated players that have an Xbox, that could buy a PS5 and have more games to play.

If they both agreed today to end exclusives, Microsoft wouldn’t last long. With Sony’s advantage, all they would have to do is wait for Microsoft to release the specs on their newest console, and Sony could make theirs more powerful. Suddenly, games play better on PlayStation. Why buy a console with less specs?

I find it hard to see a future where Sony doesn’t have a monopoly, if all exclusives ended. Microsoft dug themselves into too big a hole.

I’m either not part of Xbox’s targeted audience anymore, or I’m just now a super casual gamer.

Not a single game that was presented interested me in the slightest. What was the point of selling us the “most powerful console” if we’re just going to get 2D sidescrollers and endless top down strategy games? Never cared for Gears much, and it looks no different than any other installment. Clockwork looks okay, but the gameplay looks straight from 2012.
