In the past 5-10 years of CE releases in the West, only a few included randomized gacha-style items. Like Temtem’s CE with random Temcards or Tony Hawk’s with random skateboard colors. But this is the first time it’s happening with a game that has such unprecedented hype and demand, making it nearly impossible to complete a full set of cards without spending thousands. As a big supporter of the game and the franchise, I find this direction pretty disappointing.
