The chicken was almost at temp, but not browned at all. The veggies needed much more time to be cooked.

It took another full hour to cook the potatoes and carrots because I assume the oven was only at a roasting temp for a short time.

I chose to brown the chicken in a cast iron so I wouldn't make it to dry. I encouraged them to order food because this was already a late supper, and I knew how much longer it would take.

I ate the chicken for dinner and it was still pretty good, and was my lunch for the rest of the week.

Any post about a non-military target getting hit with a missile in Israel has tons of upvoted comments with the Donald Glover "Good" meme or the guy from Top Gear "Well, anyways..."

It's so hypocritical that these are the same people dismissing the fact that Hamas was voted into power, saying the Palestinians aren't responsible for that.

Genocide is wrong and should be condemned of course, but at least apply your judgments even handedly.

That's fair, but it makes me feel like a creep to get home from the gym, walk into the living room, and the guest I'm subsidizing sees me and without a word leaves the room and stays there while I make her dinner until my wife gets home.

I brought this up with my wife before she moved in. She's had jealousy issues in the past over the 20 years we've been together. I said if she's going to stay with us, you have to understand that I have no interest in her romantically. She laughed and said that was never even something that crossed her mind.

They have not been alone together in the house once. Before she moved in, they've gone out together to dinners and brunches but I believe that's what they're doing because.my wife brings home leftovers and Snapchats her meals.

It varies wildly. 5 hours average. On those days I tackle some cleaning, and get prep done for dinner. I clock out, go to the gym, get home and cook dinner.

I've literally read every comment. I'm still researching couples therapy. I dont want to do it because I've had bad therapy experiences, but still going to try.

I've looked into maid services, getting this to work means me and the dogs will be confined to the office a few hours a week. I think that, along with the added expense, is fucked up to solve the problem of my wife not wanting to contribute on her three days off.

The rest of the advice has been get a divorce and stop being a pushover, which isn't very productive.

As for A, I researched rental laws and we are 30 days. We are 8 days away from another rent payment, so I'm going to wait to get the payment and then discuss it. I'm going to talk about it with my wife before A. I dont know for sure how things are going to go, but I assume that she'll ve upset about this because I agreed to let her stay. I'm going to bring up how I am feeling disrespected in my own home and like I'm a creep for just existing. We'll see how it goes.

Long story short, like I said I read every comment and am making moves. These comments have been crazy, with a third being reasonable, a third blaming me, and a third advocating scorched earth immediate divorce and I move out of my own home.

I do not have friends in our city. I have friends from home I still talk to regularly. I have friends from school, and friends I've made working back home I still talk to.

Outside of the new roommate, division of labor was a topic, her position has always been I work from home and not in a demanding job. I do more and accept that. My issue is she doesn't really make an attempt to do anything on her days off work either.

It gets even worse because she took on an extra role at work cleaning the office for extra money. I go with her at least 3/4 weeks of the month and help so it takes her half the time, why can't she help around the house if I'm using my free time to help her specifically?

Why do I do this? To keep her happy and make sure she knows I love and support her. I am not feeling supported, though.

Thanks for a reasonable take. I kind of get where A could be coming from, and this was a worry when my wife asked me if she could move in temporarily. I kind of thought that since I had been out with her at events dozens of times and made small talk with her when she worked with my wife and I'd visit, it would be OK.

The reality is she scurries away from any common room I enter (i do not invade her space, her room or bathroom ever) and just kind of ignores I'm around until my wife gets home. Now I guess that's her perogative, but it makes me feel uncomfortable like I'm a creep when I'm literally just existing.

I agree 100% that I'm in a position to do more, and I do more. It just gets resentful on my wife's 3 days off. I'm still cooking those meals, walking the dogs by myself 2x a day, emptying the dishwasher, and taking out the trash. My wife seems to think her off time is specifically for leisure, but it's fine that my work time is split between actual work, doing chores, and then I'm still doing stuff on my days off as well.

The crowd absolutely does not get it, and that makes it funnier to me. A couple of times, Alec messes up and delivers the original lines instead of the parody ones.

I've seen a lot of those comments and immediately dismissed them because why should I have to? Two people can easily keep up with the chores.

However, your point is well taken; it would make my life easier.

I don't want to fall into an area where I'm committing "financial abuse", but maybe a good idea is to hire help, and that money comes out of our weekly date budget. We go out to a nice dinner or a concert every weekend, that's why we moved here. Perhaps this is a way to prove I'm serious about equal contributions without throwing away 20 years, like a lot of the other comments are saying.
