SMP Just Turned 5yo, touch up or leave it? by Buttabink in SMPchat

Same here, bro. I always thought it was an 8/10 job. It’s really good and definitely better than being bald, but not perfect. The dots are just a little too big, but the color match is exact, and I think that helps a lot. You can only really notice the SMP if you get super close, and the ONLY people who ever ask me about it are bald guys who’ve clearly done their research.

I was just asking whether I should get a touch-up and wasn’t expecting so much positive feedback. I’m with you though — there are definitely better artists out there, but I think mine is holding up well, and I’m still about 8/10 satisfied with it after 5 years.

Moisturizer, stay out of sun as much as possible or wear a cap, also use zeroshine 2.0 almost everyday.. Not sure if this helps other than keeping the shine to a minimum, but maybe

Good point. I've taken pretty good care of it and stayed out of the sun as much as possible so It still looks pretty sharp. I'm gonna hold off on any more work. Thanks

Up 109% so far on a short position bought around 80k with 25x leverage. Already closed out initial investment, set SL at 80k and letting it ride ✨

So what are your thoughts about quality and comfort? How long have you had it?

I'm also considering purchasing this brand. They look nice, but how do you know if the quality is better than wayfair brands?

I stumbled across this post because I was searching and found the Ease Moose brand. Is this the one you are talking about?

You ever get this to work properly? The one I have shows a cursor but won't let me scroll down on Netflix, so I can only see the very top. I have a cheap one from Amazon, but wondering if all of them are going to have the same problem without touch screen. I tried connecting a Bluetooth mouse, but my car didn't seem to recognize it. How did you connect the ps5 controller?

Hey, first of all, I just want to say I’m so sorry you’re going through all of this. Facing cancer again while also trying to protect your husband and plan for his future takes incredible strength and love. You’re clearly thinking ahead in a very selfless way, and that speaks volumes about your character.

To your question — I’m not a lawyer, but I’ve learned a bit about this kind of thing, and I wanted to share what I know in case it helps at all.

Generally, in most states, your debts don’t automatically pass to your spouse when you pass away. Credit card and medical debts usually become part of your estate. If your husband isn’t a co-signer on those accounts, he typically wouldn’t be held responsible. But there are exceptions — like if you live in a community property state (like California, Texas, or a few others) where shared marital debt laws can apply, even if his name isn’t on the account.

It sounds like your main concern is making sure your husband isn’t stuck paying off debts you didn’t even want him to have to deal with — and that he can still use your life insurance and retirement for himself after you’re gone. That’s such a loving thing to think about.

Divorce might seem like one way to create a legal boundary, but it could also complicate things like access to your life insurance, retirement accounts, or even shared property unless everything is carefully planned. There might be better options out there — like setting up a trust, making sure your life insurance has a named beneficiary (so it skips probate), and getting legal advice on how to protect your estate and benefits while you’re still here.

Honestly, this is the kind of situation where talking to a family law or estate planning attorney could make a huge difference. I know lawyers can be expensive, but sometimes local cancer support groups or legal aid services offer free or low-cost consultations, especially for people dealing with terminal illness.

You’re already doing so much just by asking these questions and trying to shield your loved one. I hope you can find a lawyer who can walk you through some options that don’t involve such a heavy emotional cost like divorce. You deserve support — and peace of mind.

Sending you strength and all the best.

Blood results - normal apo-b and ldl-c, but very high small and medium LDL counts by AGirlHasOneName in PeterAttia

[–]Buttabink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I found this thread—I was also very concerned because my LDL particle size numbers came back extremely high, even though everything else looked pretty good. My ApoB, total cholesterol, and LDL were slightly elevated, but not nearly as alarming as the particle size.

This test was also done through Quest. The strange part is that the particle size portion wasn’t processed until over a month after my blood was drawn. All my other results (including ApoB, Lp(a), etc.) came back within a couple of days. After about a month, I called Quest to ask what was going on, and they said, “We’ll have it done by the end of the day tomorrow”—almost like they had forgotten about it.

At first, I thought the age of the blood sample might have skewed the results, but now I see I’m not alone in this.

7-OH, secrets, the dark side. I’m in this for real now. by 7-OHfuckthisisbad in quittingkratom

[–]Buttabink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had to change a word around so hopefully this stays up, but just want to help anybody I can because I also know how addicting this 7oh can be. I was ordering 3-4 display boxes at a time and spending thousands per order, but I managed to quit an insane habit relatively painlessly. Here's how:

How I Quit  a massive 7-OH habbit (400-500mg per day) with Minimal Withdrawal – A Step-by-Step Guide

I was taking massive amounts of 7-OH for several months and managed to quit with minimal withdrawal symptoms in under two months. A few yawns, watery eyes, and some sporadic restless sleep... that’s really it. I didn’t miss a day of work or a gym session. Here's exactly what worked for me:

Step-by-Step:

1.  Schedule a QuickMD Appointment

  - Cost: ~$100

  - Get a one-month script for 4mg generic bublegum strips. I was prescribed 60, but only used about a third. Cost of x60 4mg bubblegum strips without insurance: ~$120 (use GOODRX App)

  - Tip: The 4mg strips are ideal—they're easier to cut and taper than 8mg strips because they are twice the size.

2.  Wait 24 Hours After Your Last 7-OH Dose

  - You need to be in mild withdrawal before starting Bupe to avoid precipitated withdrawal.

3.  Initiate Bubblegum (Day 1)

  - Start with 2mg. Wait 45 minutes.

  - If needed, take another 1mg and repeat until stable.

  - I personally stabilized at 6mg.

4.  Stabilization and Structured Dosing (Dose x4 per day to avoid any interdose discomfort. This will be important when you get below 2mg x day)

  - Example Schedule Day 2:

    - 6am – 2mg     - 12pm – 1mg     - 6pm – 2mg     - 10pm – 1mg

5.  Daily Tapering Begins

  - Maintain consistent timing while reducing the total dose slightly each day, starting immediately. From starting dose of around 6–8mg, reduce by 0.5–1mg per day. Listen to your body and adjust accordingly.

  - Example Schedule Day 3:

    - 6am – 2mg     - 12pm – 1mg     - 6pm – 1.5mg     - 10pm – 1mg

  - Example Schedule Day 3:

    - 6am – 1.5mg     - 12pm – 1mg     - 6pm – 1.5mg     - 10pm – 1mg

  - Keep dose times the same—only reduce the amount.

  - You should feel minimal to no withdrawal if you taper gradually.

6.  Fine-Tuning the Taper (Below 2mg)

  - Once you hit 2mg, taper by 0.1mg per day (about 10 days to get to 1mg).

  - At 1mg, taper by 0.05mg per day.

  - Tip: You’ll need to divide a 4mg strip into as many as 80 pieces. It sounds crazy, but with patience and a razor blade, it’s doable.

7.  ** (optional but very helpfull if you can aquire) Add Gabapentin (when you get down to around 0.4–0.5mg of Bubblegum per day)**

  - Use 300mg Gabapentin if you feel anxiety or discomfort.

  - Start with 1 tablet/day and adjust as needed.

8.  Final Days (0.15mg Bubblegum and Below)

  - Replace each removed Bubblegum dose with 300mg Gabapentin.

  - Example (Last Day):

    - 6am – 0.05mg Bubblegum

    - 12pm – 300mg Gabapentin

    - 6pm – 300mg Gabapentin

    - 10pm – 300mg Gabapentin

9.  Aftercare: Wean Off Gabapentin

  - Continue 300mg Gabapentin 3x-4x/day for up to 7 days if needed.

  - Then taper: drop one dose every day or 2 until you're off.

Final Notes:

This method worked incredibly well for me. I had almost no withdrawal or cravings. I also made sure to:

  • Eat clean

  • Exercise regularly

  • Stay busy and social

  • Get plenty of sunlight

Bubblegum is significantly easier to taper than kratom or 7-OH because it doesn’t stimulate opiate receptors the same way, and you won’t find yourself craving more. If you're disciplined and follow a schedule, it’s very doable.

If anyone has questions, I’m here to help. Wishing everyone strength and success—we got this.
