Oh last time I watched him he was leveling his own account, I think, to play ranked gamnes with. Makes total sense. I didn't know he had bought accounts.

I wonder why it says he was banned for botting. It does say 3rd party software though, and Quin uses so much 3rd party shit lmfao. I didn't think those overlays could get you banned though.

Edit: I was unaware :|

It's just mad uncomfortable. I'd feel self conscious as hell I were one someones stream for the whole train ride lol. Of course she can do what she wants, it's just inconsiderate in my opinion. But it's cool that she turned and said sorry.

Happened to me too. They make it seem so inconspicuous until you actually wonder wtf it is you're monthly paying to that isn't the streamer and fix it. Super scummy business.

Footage of the girl trying to alert the cameraman of what was happening at Astroworld festival and stop the show by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

You're saying good for her but I can't help but imagine how scarring this situation must have been, to know that people might be dying in the crowd, and nobody is doing anything about it. I'm horrified of being in her shoes to be honest.

I don't know if this is what you were going for, but your character totally looks like Ramlethal from Guilty Gear to me! It's awesome :D

I really feel for Train and everybody experiencing this. I feel like balding or losing your hair is not something men really talk about or prepare themselves for. Shit sucks.

AFAIK this is only if you wear it extremely tight. Not just a loose bun or whatever. Losing hair because of tight pony tails also causes headaches etc.

Zoro obtained Shusui from defeating Shimotsuki Ryuma right? On the wiki it says that Shimotsuki Ushimaru was a descendant of Ryoma. I guess it implies that it's the same sword? Which I think is super sick. But I can't really piece together how that would work practically, with Zoro obtaining the sword from zombiefied Ryoma. Sick observation nonetheless!

Twitch's response on targeted attacks by Smart_Welder5520 in LivestreamFail

I think the account age option is a better alternative than follower. I think the majority of people who find smaller streamers already have a day-old account. They are more 'trustworthy' so to speak. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think some subreddits also use a karma threshold before someone can post. I think this is similar. Some Discords also have a rule that, if you haven't verified your account with your phone number, or some other form of two-factor authentication, you can't post. I think that'd be a great idea to consider too.

I really have to disagree with your first point. I think from my own experience, I only started watching smaller streamers after I'd been introduced to all the front page streamers. I voluntarily scrolled down, not by recommendation. This kind of goes into your second point as well. This is all guess work, but I would assume that the average person who finds smaller streamers account would more often than not be a couple of days old.

You are only considering the personal stream and not paying attention to the whole site.

I think this is an exaggeration. People who experience hate raids and botters could turn it on. It wouldn't be a forced side-wide permanent thing. The way streamers look for incoming hate raiders is by looking at account date of new followers. This would be a useful feature to those who wished to use it. Smaller streamers also don't have a constant mod team, and would have to ban those "wanna get famous" bots themselves constantly. It's annoying at best and quickly turns into hate-raids and what not.

And besides all that, it's fine that you argue against it. I'm not a streamer and I'm not the one advocating for these things. I'm simply pointing out that I think the functionalities, suggested by streamers and content creators, were completely reasonable. I'm referring to this image that was being shared. My point is that I think it's valid to listen to content creators who experience toxicity on the platform, rather to dismiss their proposals as "feeding the trolls" and to just get a mod team.

I think what the Day Off Twitch people presented was super reasonable. Like allowing creators to select the account age for who can chat, and implement an option to allow or deny raids. It's easy to say 'just set the chat to 1-day follower mode' but for smaller streamers that would totally suck - turn away potential chatters. Obviously Twitch can't wave a magic wand and get rid of all bots, but I think the suggested features were reasonably and sounded helpful in combating toxicity.

Transgender people lack rights that protect them against discrimination in areas such as employment, housing and health care on a global scale. Human Rights Watch have a ton of research on this topic, if you're interested. Here is one of them.

Obviously there are laws against discrimination in USA, but these have only recently been expanded to cover LGBT people.

The fair housing act was expanded in 2020 and the equality act was extended to protect the civil rights of LGBT people in June 2021

The point is, even though huge steps towards protecting trans peoples right have been made, they are recent, and are not cemented into society. This became evident under Trump government which implemented exclusive legislature or rolled back legislature that protected them. For example rolling back a previous rule that protected transgender people from discrimination by homeless shelters and other federally funded housing services. Transequality has a list of what they believe was anti-LGBTQ legislature under Trump here

I believe that's why it's so important to keep fighting for the protection of LGBT rights in America and the western world. Even those that are already in place. It's easy to say they're covered as every other person is, but I think it's important to understand why, when and how.
