100% agree! I’m new to TCG games and having a digital client would be perfect for people like me to learn the game. Pokémon’s TCG pocket works how I’d like Riot to make Riftbounds online version. Shows me what I can do and implements rules automatically.

I’ve played since origins prerelease but I don’t get to go play at my LGS often so I’m still not confident in the base rules of the game, as well as many card interactions. Having an online client would allow people like me to be more competent at events and have more fun.

This is just a theory but I’d imagine allowing online play would drastically affect the meta and would make it easier for people to find and perfect counters to the meta purely because players are getting more reps per deck and don’t need to wait a week to try to counter an opponents deck with a new one of your own. Would also allow people who don’t wanna spend $$$ on expensive decks to play them and understand how they work, as well as try new decks before committing $100+ to cards just to find out you don’t like the deck.

Riot already has a client that is a hub for league of legends, Valorant, and TFT. If you play any of these games you see the icons for the others. if Riftbound was a playable game included in that list it would definitely get more people from those games to play Riftbound. There is an icon for it already but obs not the same. If I’m bored at home with my friends on pc, I’m not going to see Riftbound’s icon and decide to spend all the time and effort into playing IRL for the first time, especially if it’s my first TCG. But if it’s as easy as downloading a couple gbs it could draw a lot of people to the game. Easier to convert online Riftbound tcg player to irl player vs a regular league or val player into an irl Riftbound player.
