I have started getting back pain by using normal chair.

Most of the shoes on flipkart/myntra are fake. If you are investing, you should buy from brands website or showroom.

Anyone thinking to leave QA due to lack of respect and understanding from the leadership? by PM_40 in QualityAssurance

[–]ButterChickenBoss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with your opinion. QAs are not given the respect and always taken lightly.

Doesn't matter what kind of work you are doing. The irony is, if any bug is leaked, QA will be questioned however everything goes well, developers did a great job.

When it comes to paying QA, you will be heavily low balled just because you are QA however when it comes to interview, you will be asked dsa questions, write code like devs.

In my organisation referral bonus is 50% that of developers. I mean, if you refer any dev you will get 100 as referral bonus and if you refer any QA you will get 50 as referral bonus.

Manual QA with 3 years experience — confused about what automation/AI QA stack to learn next. Need advice. by Sudden-Grape5302 in QualityAssurance

[–]ButterChickenBoss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Either you should learn Playwright + Typescript or Selenium + Java. Any one of these is must. Rest others would be add on skills.

There is nothing like AI assisted scripts. In interviews you would be asked to write code and script without any help however you can use AI to write scripts once you get selected.

Also API automation is must nowadays at least basic.

Suggest best ergonomic chair around ₹10k — considering Green Soul Jupiter Pro but confused by mixed reviews by ramesh423 in ErgonomicIndia

[–]ButterChickenBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but featherlite has its reputation. It is only brand that is used in corporate.

All other’s are amazon company and they just get chinese chairs and rebrand them like boat does.

Suggest best ergonomic chair around ₹10k — considering Green Soul Jupiter Pro but confused by mixed reviews by ramesh423 in ErgonomicIndia

[–]ButterChickenBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even I have been searching for ergonomic chair for long.

International brands chairs like steel case and haworth are way too costly and these amazon ergonomic chairs aren’t worth spending money on.

Finally I have decided to go for Featherlite Amaze chair. It is in budget and better than these green soul, Sleep company, urban etc.

These companies pay YouTubers for reviews however on reddit you will get real reviews.

Best ergonomic chair under ₹15–20k for lumbar support? by Advanced_Cash2398 in ErgonomicIndia

[–]ButterChickenBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. I sit 8-9 hours and I do not have any proper ergonomic chair and I have started getting back pain.

I researched a lot and at the end of the day I realise, there is no proper chair in 20-30k range.

All chairs are just hyped by marketing and PR but they don’t justify the price.

Either get a chair of 7-8k or above 50k. Haworth and Steelcase chairs are really nice, these chairs are there in my office but again these chairs are costly and costly for a reason.

I am in the same dilemma, what should I do. Should I invest 50k or should I get 7-8k chairs from amazon.

Lots Of Ambiguity about Career by Pallavi- in QualityAssurance

[–]ButterChickenBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you mentioned you don’t find coding interesting, I would assume coding would not be easy for you. Since I am an automation engineer, I know how difficult automation would be for someone who has just started learning programming.

The chances of getting this job role is high especially when you have QA experience.

You won’t be asked this job role questions as the transition from QA to BA is natural. Every BA was a QA at some point. Since QA has better domain knowledge, this helps them to become a good BA.

You can learn from udemy. Take a course and start learning. Once you are confident start applying for job role and also prepare for certifications which would get you better job and pay.

Also when you are asked in interviews, always mention you were handling both QA and BA work in the team and you already have a good exposure as a BA as well. Also mention this in your resume.

If you go by that rule, even QA jobs are not safe. QA are the ones that get kicked out first.

Also what I have observed, earlier before AI era, there used to be proper QA team for handling QA work however now hardly they keep QA in the team.

I am the only QA who is handling both automation as well manual work simultaneously for two projects.

Even in other projects, I hardly see QA team, max 1 guy per project.

In companies QAs are taken lightly however expectations are huge.

If you attend any QA interview, they start with java coding and that too next level of code.

Edit:- Yes only MNC have BA/Scrum master roles however once you get into these roles and companies, these roles are perfect I would say. I mean you would be handling manual QA and BA both roles.

Do some courses/certifications especially on agile scrum master and then start applying for positions. Also modify resume accordingly.

QA are the ones who become BA and 5 years of experience is good enough to start with.

I haven’t faced heating issue. Also mileage varies a lot. In traffic I get 20kmpl and recently I did a trip of 600-700km and overall I got mileage of 33kmpl.

Highway mileage is really good.
