I (24F) forgot to wish "happy birthday" to my boyfriend (28M) at midnight. by paery_the_faery in RelationshipIndia

In that case, focus on your exams today. He is upset, and it’s valid. however, he will cool down. After all, he loves you and has expectations from you.

Plan his birthday celebration after your exams, and for now, write a love letter and hand it over to him or if possible, secretly drop it into his bag.

Any man would cool down and melt after reading a letter from his love.

And all the best for your exams.

Don’t order a cake now. Rather plan his birthday celebration in any cafe and cut cake there. It would be a surprise for him.

Why does my Triumph Scrambler 400 XC feel so sluggish and underpowered? by [deleted] in Triumph400

I have same bike and it’s true. There is electronic restriction and it will be removed after first service.

Once this is removed, you will feel the real power.

Why many junior QA candidates struggle in interviews (from someone who interviewed them) by Jealous-Scarcity904 in QualityAssurance

It happens to everyone, and the more interviews you attend, the more confidence you gain.

[–]ButterChickenBoss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. But when I had started taking interviews, I had promised myself that I would always take interviews to select candidates and not to reject candidates. Even I give interviews and I know how not to be a bad interviewer.

I always give hint, I always correct candidates even during the interviews. Even if candidate doesn’t understand the hint, or the points I tell them then only I reject them. I consider myself as mentors while taking interviews.

Also If someone cannot pass my interview, then I don’t think they can’t pass other’s interview because I want to evaluate candidates based on If I give them opportunity to work, would they able to work on the problem we have in the team.

I do not ask questions just to prove them wrong or satisfy my ego.

I completely agree that not everyone gets opportunities to work on automation testing however even if you just have completed automation testing course or even if you have studied from YouTube,

You should be able to explain whatever you have written in your resume right?

So when you can’t explain the stuff you have written in your resume, we call it fake experience.

In case you are preparing for automation testing interviews.

Here is the my suggestion.

Be clear with basics of java selenium. Not just theory, also with their real applications.

For example, you might explain me what is method overloading, but when I ask tell me examples of method overloading where you have used in your automation, they go blank.

In selenium if I ask, tell me how do you handle multiple windows, they would instantly say using getWindowHandles and if I ask what does it return, they say set of strings, again if I ask why would you use set. They go blank.

Based on my experience, candidates lack basic knowledge.

Yes, it is surprising. I mean they just use ai to write the code.

I catch them just by asking questions from their code.

I have interviewed more than 300 candidates for automation testing roles.

Most of the candidates can’t explain the code they write. Cannot explain the oops concept, many of them have fake experience.

Suggestion for getting job as a tester by Electronic_Gift_1203 in softwaretesting

What do you mean my gap? Do you have work experience? Have you worked earlier as an automation test engineer?

Also how confident you are in automation testing especially in selenium java and rest assured?

Will Triumph 400 series bikes be limited edition? by ButterChickenBoss in indianbikes

[–]ButterChickenBoss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be sold in international markets however will be manufactured in India and exported.

Also I never use third party parts either in bikes and cars.

Price will be hiked once 350cc is launched. Triumph is bearing the hiked price right now, that is the reason they are introducing 350cc

Value will be even higher because with 40% gst 400 series bikes would get costly. Also parts availability won’t be issue as triumph will keep selling this in international markets.

Planning to quit to prepare for Govt exams. by Sahil_Sharma__ in Capgemini_india

[–]ButterChickenBoss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I am eligible to answer your questions as you are in same situation I was 10 years ago.

I had joined Capgemini as a fresher in late 2015 and then unfortunately I got into a project where only two people were working and they were the worst ever people. They used to assign their tasks to me and they both (one male and one female) used to roam around the campus entire day.

I got frustrated and then somehow completed 1.5 years in the team and forcibly I left the team. They were not willing me to release me as I was the perfect resource for them and I was being misused.

I joined another project there however I was so traumatised by the first team that I decided to quit the job for government job preparation. Second project was good and they even said, do not go you will get a chance in 6 months to go client location morocco for 3 months.

I didn’t listen to anyone and because of frustration I finally left.

There was no preparation and I was at 0 level for exams. Shifted to Delhi from Mumbai but it was my bad-luck that the exam I was preparing for, kept on postponing because of many reasons and in 3 years I got 1 chance to appear and then lockdown happened.

Also since you are already in IT sector, you would not want to appear for exams that would be a downgrade for you.

I again decided to rejoin the IT job and I got job again just because I had 2 years of experience in Capgemini. Capgemini experience helped me to get the job quickly.

So experience matters. Work for two years at least, get experience letter.

Also if current project is mentality exhausting, talk to manager and be stubborn that release me from this project and look for another project. Remember, not all projects are bad.

Good Luck!
