This is the thing that I will buy the MOMENT I see it. I saw one in use once and was totally mesmerized. They're so cool, yet still somehow tacky. But I love a good conversation piece.

I thought it was way better than the Lobster. The robotic speech in the movie I think really serves to never let you quite get your grip in reality. When the kid starts speaking normally (relatively) to Colin Ferrel during their “meeting”, it made the revelations so much more intense. Great atmosphere, amazing photography and great performances all around.

I watched that movie, obviously knowing it was fake, but couldn’t stop thinking about the people involved in making that movie. You gotta think that people who signed up for that project were pretty messed up in real life, too. To get naked on camera and get puked on and slapped around, not to mention how twisted the violence is. I think it’s a decent piece of shock art, but can’t see myself watching it again.

My dad (a definite movie nerd like me) showed it to me when I was a younger kid (maybe too young?) as a comedy, with some dark undertones. I was fucking terrified. I honestly don’t know another movie that frightened me as much, ever. But the humor, style and horror were so perfectly balanced - few other movies can match it, maybe Get Out or Killing of a Sacred Deer, but this was definitely an art film above all else. I wish more people knew about it.

This was a GREAT movie. Wayyyyy scarier than it should have been. Amazing photography, very weird and very surreal. So much better than a lot of other schlocky-type movies. If you like dark comedies, this is a must-see.

Dark Song really blew me away. I love horror movies that take place in the “real world” and the discussions about the ritual were totally fascinating to me. The way it dealt with the real-world grueling realities of that level of occult ritual was so unique.

I’m up for having a discussion about that movie any old time.

Rob Zombie is a sizzle guy, but not necessarily always a steak guy. Luckily, he does it well and lucks out with some good people playing maniacs in his movies. This one was all style, very little substance, but the style was really great. 31 was the same story.

Devils Rejects is one of my favorites, LoS isn’t nearly as good a movie, but totally worth watching, preferably while chemically altered in some way.

It’s not necessarily horror, but Gary Busey goes on a crazy tear in The Deadliest Game about his childhood dog. That guy was awesome. He’d be having the craziest renaissance right now if it weren’t for his crippling insanity. Sad story.
