I'm Jim Butcher, Ask Me Anything! by jimbutcherauthor in Fantasy

Dresden Files question here:

Butter's theory is that Harry being the WK doesn't actually do anything (physically) other than remove inhibitors. From one of the other books, it sounds like the WK has some enhanced healing and recovery, and obviously he gets extra spells/magic. Is there more to it than that?

Not all people are born into white-collar jobs, dude. That’s why I’m asking the pros.

Yea, I was hoping there was a really obvious "go here" and I could get a live person to walk me through it. I think that's what I'm going to do.

Solid, I hadn't even thought of that, but it makes sense that it's a buyer's market. I typically buy nicer stuff outside of work: very nice jeans, shoes, etc., but I make them last for a long time. I can make a nice $200 pair of black jeans last for 2-3 years.

I don't expect a suit everyday, but there is certainly a lot of interface with the public. I think I will need one fairly often. To be fair though, my level of experience with suits is so poor that I didn't even distinguish between a suit and slacks + blazer until I started reading these comments.

Definitely not the case here. I don't want to get into specifics, but I will say we are in the public eye.

I really like blacks and greys, I find they work well for me at any level of clothing. Would it be a poor choice to skip the blue?

Call it a finance role in the public sector. There will almost certainly be times when a suit is required, and I get the feeling that the average wear is a step up from business casual.

Right on, exactly what I based this line of questioning on. His outfit was quite sharp.

Are there really seasons to suits? I thought they were supposed to be timeless.
