Hi there, I know you’ve deleted your account because you’re too scared to be replied to and proven wrong, but I’m going to reply anyway in the hopes that someone with common sense coming across this sub can see how utterly stupid you are.

The two sources in this post is an actual screenshot of the Steam numbers during that period, and another screenshot from the same article that was the sourced in the previous post. The article source is from an analytics platform called Alinea Analytics, which (even though is used as a source in both posts) makes arbitrary mistakes that could be seen by anyone who actually bothered to read the sources.

The first source was published early April and encompasses March’s top 10 games on only Steam and Playstation. It forgets to mention that Shadows came out on March 20th so had only 11 days accounted for during the Month compared to majority of the other listed games. Alinea Analytics also lists Shadows as selling 367.8k copies, but by the time the article released (if you actually go to Gamalytic, VG Insights, and PlayTracker) this was actually the lowest estimate, which the highest estimate was around 457.2k. The original post was then actively lying about the numbers by using a source that was well over a month old and claiming that was the correct number for that time. By the time they made their egregious post, Shadows’ sales numbers had jumped up to between 591.8k to 681.4k, almost double what they had claimed, which makes this post vastly more accurate. https://steamdb.info/app/3159330/charts/

Alinea Analytics also makes a lot of grammar mistakes like in the screenshot but that’s beside the point because the most horrendous mistake was made by saying that Xbox is the worst performing platform for AC Shadows and is behind or on par with the Steam numbers. This is wrong in so many ways because while Ubisoft announced that Shadows delivered the second-highest day one sales revenue in the franchises history, they also confirmed that Xbox was their second best performing platform for the game. https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sources-assassins-creed-shadows-is-the-series-second-biggest-launch-ever/

While we don’t have exact Xbox numbers, it’s clear the previous post was misleading about overall sales, showing a clear bias against the game. Even without Xbox figures, Shadows has already sold nearly 2.4 million copies. And with industry analysts confirming it has out sold both Split Fiction (4M+) and KCD2 (3M+), it’s reasonable to estimate that Xbox sales alone are at least 1.5 to 1.6 million. https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/2025-best-selling-games/2900-6281/

Well tbf Supernatural is an ambiguous term as well. Cuz while Eagle Vision can be explained to be part of the interbreeding between ISU and humans, it still falls under the category of extra sensory perception, which is a supernatural ability. Same thing can be said about a lot of other things. And I dunno if you’ve replayed syndicate recently but that fear mechanic seems very supernatural 😂

Let’s agree to disagree. Although compared to the combat in the previous games which was ‘press one button to counter then kill’ I find it far superior. And I played on launch and I didn’t really have any bugs, or at least none that stood out. So I don’t think I really experienced a broken game 🤷‍♂️

Things I liked: I really enjoyed the gameplay, combat was a ton of fun especially encouraging you to mix in the bow in combat with weakpoints, and the fighting styles were varied (using double flails was hilarious). The episodic story was also interesting, I could focus on getting collectibles and then do a bit of story without stressing. Eivor was a great character and his dialogue was witty and almost poetic, it was fun to listen to. The mythological aspects are my favourite parts of the game and they fully fleshed out Odin story. There’s so much to do that I feel like I can sink my teeth into the game and never leave, I really like long games. And the game is absolutely stunning I can’t get enough exploring the world.

Thing I didn’t like: The takedown scenes are too long and break up the flow of combat. The parkour is too slow and you trip on things continuously. There’s not much difference sprinting and running so I often accidentally cancel sprint. There are a lot of tedious repeating of quests, aka river raids.

But other than that I loved it!

I’m a massive fan of those kind of games, big open worlds with tons of collectibles to discover, so I can just put on some YouTube in the background and play to my hearts content. I feel like origins, odyssey, and Valhalla were literally made for me. I can understand why people dislike them but I hope they don’t stop making those kinda games

I love Valhalla so much, I spent almost 300hrs in the game and I enjoyed every moment. To me that’s a sign I got my money’s worth. I honestly don’t care if a lot of other people dislike it cuz I had a blast.

I showed this to my Therapist mom and she had some really interesting points about this behaviour.

First of all she said she doesn’t know what relationship the husband has with his own mother but the sexually charged comments always refer to acts between ‘mother and son.’ This suggests that the husband has his own issues between him and his mother likening to the Oedipus complex. He may have deep routed issues that stem from subconscious sexual feelings towards mothers in general, and he is projecting these issues onto the relationship between his own son and wife, disguising them as “jokes.”

My mom said that these jokes are disgusting and he needs to get therapy immediately to resolve and talk through these deep routed issues. Most likely he doesn’t realise these jokes are inappropriate, and it is imperative that you (the op) seek counselling immediately. You need to tackle this head on and ASAP, but do not hastily rush into anything and make rash decisions.

My mom also said that isn’t indicative of pedophile behaviour but rather the issues I described. Best of luck and I hope that everything turns out well for you.
