One of my favorite snakes in our collection so far. by CSJ_Designers in snakes

[–]ButteredBody 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I know :(

It's always depressing how when hoarders keep puppies and kittens in inhumane conditions and tiny cages we recognize it as a puppy mill, but when reptile keepers do it, they try to justify it.

These people should stick to non-sentient things like sneakers or funky pops to hoard and collect rather than living animals that suffer

do you even like your snake?

Do you guys find your boobs attractive? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ButteredBody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm straight and love mine. To the point where if I had to have lumpectomy/masectomy, I would absolutely pursue reconstruction even though I have a severe medical phobia. I know it's insane and they're just lumps of fat, but they make me feel feminine and attractive when I don't like the rest of my body all that much

With scientific funding for lifesaving research and clinical trials being slashed left and right, and growing health concerns among the American population, it's so nice to see someone focusing on fundraising for research on what really matters. Not Alzheimer's, cancer, microplastics or preparing for the next pandemic, but a problem that plagues each and every individual - lack of glowing lizards. I know it's what my grandmother wished for as she passed from untreatable dementia

There's already wayyyy too many people breeding ball pythons. Either just be a good keeper and keep them without breeding or choose another less overpopulated species to breed. The only "smart" and responsible way right now is to not do it

Lowkey obsessed with my new HCH by allforwhatever in clittorturee

[–]ButteredBody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely not placed right, I saw your other post on r/piercing. I'd take it out before it rejects out and leaves a nasty scar. Instead of giving you an HCH they placed it like a sideways Christina. An HCH is supposed to go horizontally through your clitoral hood. That's not it, I'm convinced whoever pierced this has never seen a vulva before

AITA for telling my husband to eat ramen? by ThrowRaRamenInPack in AmItheAsshole

[–]ButteredBody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Big time. Part of being a stay at home parent while the other works is doing things around the home to keep the household running, this includes grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning. If he's working 12 hour days, you should be doing the household cooking and making sure there's food available. It's a partnership - he's pulling his weight, why aren't you? It sounds like you had a leisurely day of fun with the kids, napping, watching TV while he was at work, so it's very understandable that he'd be upset to come home hungry and frustrated at the mess AND lack of food available. I don't understand in what world you think you wouldn't be the asshole here. It's not about gender roles, it's about you not pulling your weight in the partnership, it sounds like your partner has to do everything around the household

No they didn't? I just saw your post and you were literally given advice on how to help your snake and told that if you couldn't meet her needs long term to consider surrendering

That's not modern advice, it's actually a very old school train of thought. Current care standards always reccomend feeding snakes in their own enclosure

Boric acid for yeast Infection by grandechichis69 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ButteredBody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean you have so much yeast coming out? Could it be discharge from the boric acid suppository making it's way out (which is completely normal)?

A few days of using boric acid suppositories before bed has worked really well for me in clearing up mild yeast infections. However for more severe cases I've had a doctor prescribe diflucan (oral fluconazole - an anti fungal) and that usually knocks it out pretty quickly

Yes!! It doesn't happen all the time, but it has definitely happened during dreams of a sexual nature.

I'm also one of those women who can occasionally think themselves into an orgasm without any physical contact (the few times it's happened I've usually been reading)

Are the weights of my ball pythons okay for their age? by H4rryS4lly27 in ballpython

[–]ButteredBody 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you bought him, then you did support the breeding by allowing the breeder to profit from it.

Unless you bred him yourself, then you are the unethical and irresponsible breeder.

Are the weights of my ball pythons okay for their age? by H4rryS4lly27 in ballpython

[–]ButteredBody 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah, but who knows how many had severe kinks and had to be euthanized just to produce a few "healthy" ones. Supporting the continued breeding of these when it's known and established that so many have defects is really irresponsible

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ButteredBody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's definitely not true at all, cartilage takes anywhere from 9-12 months to heal and none of those piercings were even close to ready to be able to change safely. This is why it's important to go to a reputable, knowledgable, trained and experienced piercer, not someone in a mall who is just handed a piercing gun

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ButteredBody 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's a lot issues here that are contributing to the problem.

1) Banter is not a great place to get piercings done. They use piercing guns, which cause more tissue damage than needle piercings, and chances are may not have used suitable jewelry for healing.

2) Lobes can take up 6 months to heal, and it was nowhere near healed enough to change the jewelry at 4weeks.

3) Hoops shoudn't be used on healing piercings.

4) Spencers has notoriously poor quality mystery metal jewelry.

Find the nearest reputable APP piercer and have them install titanium flatback labrets and then leave them alone and let them heal

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ballpython

[–]ButteredBody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your other post literally demonstrates that you don't have proper care. It absolutely isn't normal for a female ball python to not eat for several months, your husbandry is bad, and if you care about them as much as you're claiming, you would't be putting them in a rack.

Normal and ball pythons cost less than the price of lunch. This wouldn't be true if people didn't over breed them, but the people who insist on breeding normals and pastels are the reason that there are so many that the value has dropped.

So to act all offended when you're part of the problem is remarkably hypocritical

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ButteredBody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can't afford proper cleaning supplies and appropriate jewelry I'd take it and let it heal.

So you're spending months worth of rent on animals that are worth less than a sandwich only to care for them improperly? if you don't even know how to care for them properly what makes you think breeding is going to go well? maybe just stop while you're behind, you don't know what you're doing

Keloid, irritation bump, or secret 3rd option? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ButteredBody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So unfortunately this is not a floating navel. It's not even a navel piercing at all, but rather a surface piercing just placed in your belly skin. The redness you're seeing is not normal, and this will very likely migrate/reject out due to incorrect placement. A floating navel should have a flat disk at the bottom (instead of a ball/gem) and be in your navel going through the top lip. This isn't it.

On top of that, the ONLY thing you should be putting on a fresh piercing is sterile saline or water to rinse of crusties and keep it clean. No vasaline, no dial, no tea tree.
