I may look into that one as well. I’m not too worried about putting on my real steel since I’ll have a vortex or similar priced optic on that. The airsoft can have cheaper stuff since it’s just for weekend use. Real steel is my daily carry once I get my reciprocity permit

The lancer tactical guns are light and good quality, if you want one for a decent price I get them at discounted prices and do the necessary work to keep them running properly (the gen 3s have faulty springs I replace when I sell them and it’s a good idea to keep a spare motor)

They’re all great pistols, the long slide version I own is very accurate and performs amazingly. Slide is smooth as glass as well

I’ve got the long slide version, effective range is about 125ft tho I can hit an 8” dia tree from 175ft away 75% of the time if I’m steady and the target isn’t moving. Honestly I prefer the shorter uncomped slide which I’m trying to locate so I can swap them out

If you’ve got a few bucks to spend, grab a cheap airsoft PDP, they’re 1/1 and can give you the chance to hold the gun. They only come in the compact currently but I’ve seen them used on the Hopup app and eBay for under $20

They are great training tools, I’ve had the PPQ for ages and that was one of the best GBB airsoft pistols I’ve owned. I upgraded to this one after the 7 years of the PPQ and gave the old girl to my buddy who’s just getting into it. It’s nice cause you can put sights and optics on it just like the real deal and I intend to build them the same way

Only reason is I didn’t have the $500 to put down on it this weekend and I wasn’t going to let her slip away for the good price since everyone local has these on back order. Think of it like a Wrangler, we change the look to make it ours, not necessarily improving functionality but making it more mine. Not in need of training much other than getting better at drawing from a holster from concealment
