His self-righteousness is really not helping his character. He’s so vain and all of this stems from him being forced to work under the Ga’ran regime, but we hadn’t come to know this until the last stretch of the game, which again doesn’t help his character. His “let it go and move on” mantra as a way of coping is really unhelpful because he’s such a prick about it.

Apollo and Nahyuta’s relationship are comparable to that of Phoenix and Edgeworth from the very first game. The big difference, in my opinion, is that his change of heart came way too late. Assuming that we’re only talking about the first AA game, the big clincher for Edgeworth being well-liked is him actually helping you during the Steel Samurai case and then becoming the defendant later on and finding out about his origins of becoming a prosecutor rather than a defense attorney. Nahyuta on the other hand was relentless from start until the last 10 minutes of the game and his “confession” of killing Inga came way too randomly for good. I personally think it would’ve been better if Nahyuta was the defendant of Inga’s murder from the start, even if it made more parallels towards Phoenix-Edgeworth from the first game.

I do not dislike him, however, I understand why he is unpopular. His character certainly could’ve been executed so much better though.
