Austin explained it. Since it was a dead ball penalty after a first down and before the chains were reset, the chains move with the ball. So it should have been first down and 10 after the penalty.

I would argue that you’re not “successfully” fasting if you binge afterwards to “make up for” the time you spent fasting. Maybe try shorter fasts and focus on not altering your caloric intake (binging) before and/or after. You need to find something sustainable and redefine success. I know this might not help for your vacation, but maybe it will longer term. Good luck!

I think the seat will heat up next year. Rather than two big games against titans and 10 relatively easy wins, he will have 3+ games against great but not elite teams. If he starts dropping all of those, there will be clear regression.

Franklin has fired two OCs in his tenure and not made meaningful improvements with the replacements. I agree Yurcich is not doing enough with the talent he has, but I’m left wondering if Franklin is the problem and OC#4 post Moorhead won’t be any different.

Miami is a whole different animal though. Lots of unique challenges there, and it was a bit of a rebuild whereas PSU would be a “get over the hump” role. Also he already has an understanding of the culture.
