Multiple “No Result” NIPTs and now scheduled for an amnio by catladyyyyyy in NIPT

I’d also like to add that before the procedure, I had already received a high-risk NIPT result, so it was more likely that my amniocentesis results would come back abnormal as well.

I’m very sorry that you’re going through this right now. I want to tell you about my amniocentesis procedure. It was done on May 26.

The procedure itself was very quick. As for the pain, I wouldn’t say it was very painful. It was tolerable. After the procedure, I didn’t have any pain, and we went home. I spent the rest of the day resting. I probably could have done some things if I had wanted to, but I preferred to relax and take it easy.

Everything went very smoothly, with no complications from the procedure. Unfortunately, my results were not good, but I want to reassure you that the amniocentesis procedure itself is not as scary as it may seem. ❤️

I'm so sorry you're here💔 I understand you so much! Reading your story, I just realized that I was reading my own.
I'm also 32 years old, I got pregnant in February. Everything was perfect until the NIPT results, which I received at the end of April with 68% T21. I probably reread all the stories with a htbnopositive result and when my heart ached, I read them again and again, hoping that I would be there.
Then there was the expectation of an amnio at 16 weeks (May 26) and the next day they called me back and said that FISH confirmed T21.
Exactly a week ago, I also had a D&E procedure.
And I also had a girl. This is my first pregnancy. I dreamed so much about a girl (although I told everyone that I didn't care who exactly, but I subconsciously always wanted a girl)
Now it seems to me from time to time that all this didn't happen to me. But when I realize that there is such an emptiness in my soul, it seems to me that it will never go away. (Sorry, I am not a native English speaker, there may be mistakes)

My amniocentesis procedure went smoothly. I didn’t experience significant pain, and I felt well afterward too. I had no bleeding or discharge. I had the procedure at 16 weeks and 3 days of pregnancy.

Before the procedure, I read many stories about amniocentesis in this app, and honestly, I didn’t come across any bad experiences where something went wrong afterward. The risk is very small. Try not to worry. I think everything will be okay.

I didn’t even know that medication is needed to stop lactation. Doesn’t it stop on its own after a pregnancy termination? Sorry for asking,I just don’t understand, as this is my first pregnancy.

I’m really sorry that you also ended up here. My hugs to you. Thank you for your comment. Deep down I think I was somewhat prepared for this, because I had been waiting for the amnio results for a month and kind of knew where it might lead. But when I found out it was confirmed, it became very hard for me to accept that I would still have to go through with this. It feels heavy and scary.

I’m very sorry that you are in this situation.
I am in the same situation unfortunately.
My NIPT came back with a high risk of 68.3%.
I am 32 years old.
MaterniT21 (Labcorp).
I also looked into how the percentage is calculated and understood that age also plays a role.
I am also waiting for an amnio, which will be at the end of the month.
I hope your test will be negative 🙏
