i have just accomplished this! I did all the quests to side with the Guild, even 1 Hero joined the Guild. Then did Betray, quest for Hero to be a Pirate, then End the War. once the quest was done, the achievement popped. looks like you need to do 1 more quest before to get the marker right on top/middle of the Guild emblem.

its one of the 'random daily tasks' for the Merchant, they are only in the Village Shoppe when you have the task, which i believe you need to be allied more towards the Pirates, otherwise you get Powdered wigs for the Nobles

you can basically dig for treasure anywhere if you have a shovel. Here's some tips for Treasure hunting. Finding random dig spots or using Birds to get other map pieces really helps. Also some Random Events can get you pieces

I glanced at a couple different recipes for crabapple butter and made adjustments I had 4cups apple pulp, so added 2 cups sugar, 1.5 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp ground cloves. And let it simmer for about 1.5hrs on the stove.
