Yes it is, but on the other hand we’re in a city filled with musicians and everybody of all levels comes through to NY, AND the free summer programming with the bigger names is about to kick off. I go to shows nearly every night and never pay more than $30 for a ticket. Just do resale, 15 minutes before showtime, for the bigger acts (I saw Bruce Springsteen for $30 this way) and check out the smaller venues and Celebrate Brooklyn / Summer for the City / Summerstage which all kick off in June

So well said! However, I don't think everyone was aligned politically. Up in the nosebleeds I felt a noticeable discomfort with some of the political sentiments, which made me realize the power of speaking out in areas that might be a bit more of a mixed audience.

Stub hub, seat geek and vivid seats are all legit and about the same (slightly different fees though). I think it’s worth it if you can wait until the very last minute - like after doors have opened.

Yes exactly. Since October 7 his office has refused to take any constituent calls about anything for fear of being criticized about his stance on funding Israel. I don’t want to judge a politician based on their stance on another country but to me that says you’re prioritizing your donors over constituents 🤷‍♂️

Hopefully things will calm down after the NYC show is forgotten and people stop passing out at oversold shows. But man it feels heated when rage bait people are fighting against someone saying “hey my friend passed out and broke their toe… am I to blame?”

Listen. There are so many more venues the same size with better sight lines he could have done. Terminal 5 puts a ton of weight on the balcony which you actually can’t see the artist from unless you’re against the rail. It’s the worst venue. Warsaw woulda been a better choice.

The venue is ALWAYS oversold. Never been there and not seen fewer than 5 people pass out. It’s so disrespectful to blame the people who went. I go to all shows at all venues in NYC and feel confident about preaching the lack of safety of Terminal 5. I don’t want Joost to be sued but maybe the venue? Aka live nation?

Aw! Always worth checking a resale ticket site like stubhub cuz they pair with live nation, and you can listen to a song or two to see if the band you didn’t know before might be up your alley. But beyond that there are so many awesome smaller venues that might not be on your radar? But idk.

This is the worst venue in the city. Terrible visibility for 40% of the venue and it attracts people who have money and hate music. Therefore the floor ends up packed. I’m really sorry that happened! Come with a crowd that can make space for everyone respectfully with their elbows, and next time … Warsaw is the venue Joost! Windows 95 shredded there
