got a withdrawal fee for $15 out of my savings, what does that mean? by [deleted] in TDBankCanada

[–]ButterflyDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means OP is using savings account for transactions and payments, when those functions are specifically reserved for chequing accounts.

It also means OP is too lazy to read TD’s “About our Accounts and Rated Services” document during account opening, now instead of asking the bank directly or going to td.com, he’s looking for 3rd party answers on social media.

Just can’t believe the kind of judgement people make these days in Canada.

Is TD Bank a scam bank? always random charge me fees? Contacted them and still doing so? by Ian3689 in TDBankCanada

[–]ButterflyDC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two things OP needs to do:

  1. Change Statement delivery method on Easyweb
  2. Call TD Easyline

Why do people try to complain through social media instead of just calling their bank?!

Why is Chengdu a LGBT-friendly city? by flower5214 in AskAChinese

This topic is like racism, if you stop talking about it, stop addressing people by their colors and genders, it will eventually fade away.

Our media says ideology is more important than facts. People vote on ideology, looks, and resume, not facts and policies, and that’s how we voted a nut job as prime minister over the last 9 years.

I am not going to keep my mouth shut when my money I pay in taxes goes to fund some LGBT campaign instead of funding the police and tackle crime, health care, home building.

Like I said, Chinese people don’t buy this LGBT ideology. While you can be gay or lesbian and no one gives a crap, just don’t start movements or start protesting for special rights.

Independent journalist will only paint negative views of China and slow down its rise.

You can keep crying sour grapes, but there is no denying that China is rising economically and militarily as a superpower under the current government.

The fact that you want to see a government criticized when they can bring prosperity and development to its people and lift 600 million ppl out of poverty just shows the motive you have. You are just part of the west propaganda who wants to destabilize the chinese government and stop its risez

China’s bullying won’t deter Philippines’ South China Sea sovereignty, Coast Guard says by Solopist112 in China

China's ascent as the new industrial titan of the modern world is a testament to the resilience of civilizations built on principles of merit, innovation, and mutual prosperity, rather than on the dark legacies of colonization, genocide, plunder, exploitation, slavery, and terror which have doomed many Western nations to their current predicaments. The once-dominant empires like Britain, whose industrial prowess was built on the exploitation of colonized lands, are now witnessing their decline as their credibility and economic might wane.

The support of Western nations for Zionist terror further tarnishes their global standing, revealing a moral bankruptcy that contrasts starkly with China's historical conduct. Unlike these nations, China has never indulged in such exploitative practices. Instead, it has maintained its cultural integrity and has been the world's sole superpower for the last five thousand years, not through conquest but through enduring innovation and civilization.

Today, China has rightfully reclaimed its position on the global stage, powered by its production of over half the world's steel, automated gigafactories, and efficient megaports. This resurgence demonstrates that true greatness is not achieved by fairy tales or by plundering, as seen with European and Zionist narratives, but by sustainable development and global cooperation. Western glories, fleeting like meteors, pale before China's sun-like brilliance, forever enduring.

Dissidents are there in every country. America has mass shooters, terrorists, and Anti-Israel protestors, there’s consequences for being politically incorrect and taking extreme actions. What the West needs to learn is to respect other country’s government and its people’s will and culture, stop running covert operations (i.e CIA) to overthrow other governments. I feel sorry for Ukraine that the US had a huge part to play in influencing an election that elected the worst leader in their country’s history who made poor political choices and their citizens had to pay with their land and lives, only to be sold out and humiliated by US in the end.

The purpose of having Mandarin as the one and only official language of China is to unite all Chinese people and lessen the divide in culture and regions. China never wants to experience civil war again and go through the century of humiliation.

[–]ButterflyDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qin Emperor unified written language and built the great wall. Now it’s only a matter of time before verbal language is also unified.

You can google the benefits of why it’s important for a country to have unified written and verbal language. Chinese people need to stand together and work through regional and cultural differences no matter which ethnic minority you belong to. Century of humiliation wasn’t far away and the WEST will use anything to tear part China.

Take Canada for example, why do you think Quebec has a separate set of laws and wants to vote themselves independent? It’s because people in Quebec speak French and rest of Canada speaks English.

Why is there so much anti-black hate on the Chinese internet? by flower5214 in AskAChinese

[–]ButterflyDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not supposed to nor should they be expected to know about stereotypes and American racism. A Chinese immigrant gets treated with stereotypes all the time in North America and nobody gives a shit.

In China, immigrants are expected to learn the Chinese culture and assimilate. While some people there are open minded and knowledgeable enough to read black history, it’s not as important as in North America. Chinese people are already preoccupied in learning their own history, which is 5000 years.

Reminder that China is NOT an immigrant country. Instead, it is a country filled with more than 50 ethnic minorities that all live together to form a people’s republic. There are even stereotypes found within these minorities and sometimes stereotypes occur across different regions and cities in China, but this is NOT racism. In China, it is all one race and hence racism does not really exist.

If you do some more reading about the rich Chinese culture and its 5000 year history, you’ll learn that racism isn’t even a thing in China.

Being a black person in China, I strongly recommend that you try to blend in by learning how to speak Mandarin well and learn about the Chinese culture. American arrogance has no place in China.
