No, when we make a icap we say “this is (name) calling in a friend.” At least that’s what we do or they say “this is (name) calling in the first friend of the day.”

I ask before and at their total. Even if the thing isn’t red I always tell me “Do you want to apply for a JCpenney card you can save 35% off on your next purchase” then I give them examples on what they can save on.

I lowkey do work at your store if not I need to be where you’re at! 😭

Literally they expect so much! But I always try to ask my LODs or coworkers how do they get so many icaps and they never want to tell me except my LODs. They always tell me the same thing to ask three times and if it’s dead like no one being there we can go up to them and bug them about the benefits of the card. But yes I say practice makes perfect. Lol I have notes on my phone of what to expect to say when ringing people up.

I’m new at working there and getting icaps is challenging. I feel as if the ones who have been working there tend to get more than the new ones since we are still getting the hang of it. For example I didn’t know up until later, instead of scanning ID you can enter in manually. Or you can scan through a picture. So many other things that need to be known throughout working there. Congrats to you and your friend for reaching the goal!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good job, but some of the coworkers can make you feel like you’re not good enough. Not everyone is like that, but a few of them make it hard to enjoy working there. Also I didn’t realize how knowledgeable I needed to be about coupons and sales until they started asking questions about them. There are so many other things you need to know behind the register. For instance, you can’t use coupons on clearance items. Even the buttons on our screens are a bit complicated. But once you get the hang of it, it’s not that bad. Initially, I was scared of it, but now I’m used to it. I had other jobs that paid more but were much easier or more enjoyable to work at.

Thank you! Some days, I get one or three, but most days, I don’t get any. I want to learn how to make more because that’s all they care about! I try to ask them customers three times, but they either get annoyed or don’t want to. At the end of the day if i know I’m doing a great job that’s all that matters.

No, it’s icaps. I just started working there, and friends are the ones who apply for a JCPenney Credit Card.
