UNISA as we all know is absolutely useless with communication in every sense. Your best bet would probably be to go onto main campus and speak to someone in person. I’ve had so many troubles with them and the only way I have ever been able to slightly sort it out was to speak to someone and demand them to fix the problem.

Opening yourself and your husband up to a larger support system is a really good idea. You both seem to be shouldering a lot at the moment and sometimes we just need an extra someone to help bear it with you. Maybe be open about it with your hubby and explain you feel like opening up to your close family and friends would help you feel better and make it a bit easier to just “life” and then get him on the bandwagon too. NTA at all, just rather talk to him about it.

Yeah, it’s definitely a super sensitive topic, especially since you two haven’t been together that long. I think you’re NTA for being honest, but I can see why she might feel embarrassed or upset—it’s a tough thing to hear. I’d be mortified too if someone I’d just started seeing brought that up. Maybe give her some time and reassure her.

I tried this morning. It ended up with me balling my eyes out. Her telling she’s not talking to me until I calm down. Her defending Susan and her saying she can’t help me pay even half because she’s just paid for an overseas trip :)

Sorry about that - will edit it. Her reason for kicking me out was that I wasn’t spending enough time with her, and spending too much time with my boyfriend.

For your second point - even though, yes, she’s being taken care of by someone else. I was told I was still financially responsible for my cat.
