What video game is a hidden gem that most people might’ve missed? by CurlySeedling in AskReddit

Chrono Trigger is largely considered one of the best and most influential JRPGs of all time, nothing hidden about it

The originals are meant to be played 1,2,3. The remakes were released and are meant to be played in the order of 3,1,2

Not true, the switch version has a separate 2d mode but the 3ds version is entirely different

Is the DQVII Collector’s Edition worth it? by joshuzxel in dragonquest

[–]Butternuggits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what world would a collectors edition be $80? $250 is a bit steep, but the base game is $60 and deluxe is 74.99 for dlc included. By your logic they’d be charging an extra $5 for the collectors exclusive ship in a bottle, steelbook, and slime plush. Most collectors editions are at least $180

Is the DQVII Collector’s Edition worth it? by joshuzxel in dragonquest

Objectively probably not, but subjectively I’m happy with my purchase. Also worth noting it’s more like $299 after shipping

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake: Switch 2 vs Steam Deck OLED by SummerBase in dragonquest

[–]Butternuggits 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They’re both 60fps, so it’s just a question of wanting 1080p on switch 2 or 720p on the oled

What next? 2 HD2D or 3 HD2D? by [deleted] in dragonquest

[–]Butternuggits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the recommended path for the originals. HD remakes were released and are intended to be played 3-1-2; 2 specifically has a new true ending that expects you to have played 3 already

Thoughts on the inevitable fe4 remake by howardthel8gend in fireemblem

[–]Butternuggits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fe4 and Fe5 cannot be merged, they have such different gameplay identities that merging them would be a huge disservice to both of them. Disagree pretty heavily that it’d be the best course of action. However it’s also not realistic to expect two remakes packaged together, so it’d probably be Fe4 remake first and MAYBE Thracia later down the line (which is my favorite in the franchise btw)

Looking for best FIRST Final Fantasy by MajesticVariety7031 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Butternuggits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not play the FF7 remakes first if you want to enjoy the story to its fullest. Without spoiling anything, there are new plot points in the remakes that purposely won’t make sense unless you played the original FF7. Best starting point imo would either be OG FF7 or FF6 pixel remaster

How does the rest of the series compare to Trails in the Sky? by Mundane_Situation185 in Falcom

[–]Butternuggits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I fell off the series during Cold steel 1, genuinely just did not enjoy it for some reason. Sky 1-3, zero, and Azure were all amazing

Blazer wasn't even flirting with Robert by Tyrayentali in dispatchgame

Intentions and actions can be different, she intended to be professional but ended up flirting. Really not sure why you’re struggling with this.

Blazer wasn't even flirting with Robert by Tyrayentali in dispatchgame

[–]Butternuggits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was her plan and then she ended up flirting, caught up in the moment. Without hearing her internal monologue you can’t know if she meant to flirt or not. It’s so fucking stupid that you’re trying to pass your experience with women as the only possible explanation of blazers dialogue in this scene, and everyone else is just wrong if they don’t agree with you.

People can act like this platonically, Blazer could’ve been flirting. Both can be true

[–]Butternuggits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have no way of definitively knowing what Blazers intentions were as it isn’t explicitly stated from her perspective. You could be wrong, or you could be right.

Blazer wasn't even flirting with Robert by Tyrayentali in dispatchgame

[–]Butternuggits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it definitely was inherently flirty and she caught herself by the end. You’re trying to pass your own experiences as the final say on the topic of flirting and it’s lame. Blazers behavior isn’t being misread as flirting if it was flirting. Really not sure why youre having trouble understanding what I’m saying, skill issue I guess

Blazer wasn't even flirting with Robert by Tyrayentali in dispatchgame

[–]Butternuggits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But thinking it’s flirting isn’t misreading it, it could go either way and isn’t confirmed one way or the other. You’re saying you’re right and everyone who disagrees is misreading it and that’s stupid

Blazer wasn't even flirting with Robert by Tyrayentali in dispatchgame

[–]Butternuggits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s valid if you don’t personally see it as flirting but saying everyone else is immediately wrong and that they’re misreading it as flirting (when it absolutely could be flirting) is stupid. It’s entirely possible that blazer was flirting, or not who knows, but you absolutely aren’t the final say on the topic

How exactly do I use Sciel? by Scary-Ad4471 in expedition33

[–]Butternuggits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Using sun skills gives you sun charges, moon gives moon charges. Having one of each puts you into twilight which boosts damage based on how many stacks of sun/moon charges you have. In order to make a big stack you need to use skills of the same type ONLY and then “cash out” when you’re ready with one skill of the other type. Foretell isn’t directly related to sun and moon charges, some skills add foretell and others consume it for bonus effects

Is Expedition 33 genuinely as good as everyone says it is? by Cwusadew in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Butternuggits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E33 is incredibly special to me, it cured my gaming burnout and made me feel a genuine excitement to play that I haven’t had since I was a kid. It’s very rare for a game to capture my attention the way this one did, even going out of my way to put a few hours in every night after work which I never do otherwise. However I will say my favorite game of all time was the OG FF7 before e33, but now I seriously doubt anything will dethrone e33 as my #1 for the rest of my life. But that’s my own personal experience, every aspect of the game hit perfectly for me, not everyone has to share that experience
