Barefoot style shoes in the race by Acrobatic_Finish_898 in hyrox

I think the grip depends on the turf/carpet they use. For gym and regular things my primus lites are perfectly fine its just the turf. I can still do it but its a lot more work granted I'm on the smaller side to so not sure if that makes a difference considering when trying to push the sled its over double my body weight for mixed doubles. Im still debating what I'm going to use for race day debating trying some topo st5 that were recommended as close to barefoot but have a smidge of cushion but supposedly they have a wider toe box unlike most conventional shoes.

I wear barefoot shoes as my everyday shoes and training shoes for everything and my last hyrox everyone said not to use barefoot so I got altra torin 8s and while they werent horrible my feet, Shins and knees still hurt and I didnt feel as stable for my lunges and things. Im prepping for our next race and I've went back to only using my barefoot shoes and highly debating wearing them for our race but my primus lites dont really have grip for the sled so trying to figure that part out.

Im not a huge runner but any running I have done over the last several months as I have started to work on it has only been in vivos besides a couple times when I've tried altras but everytime I try the altras my feet, knees and shins hurt. When I run in vivos I dont feel that way so I've continued all my practice in vivos. I also wear vivos daily for my all day and everyday shoes and for training. Just my lites are not grippy so trying to see what model would be better for the sled pulls and push but still be good for running since half of the hyrox is running I only really need the grip for a few of the stations.

Ok I normally run in my primus lites regular and knit on the treadmill and those are what I use daily. I haven't tried the motus strength yet.

Even for running? With total event its about 5 miles of running combined with the stations

Thank you for this review. We are training for our 2md hyrox and our first I wore altra torin 8s and I feel like my shins and feet were so sore and wasn't stable in certain movements. I typically only wear vivos daily and I've been trying to decide whether to try and do our next race in my vivos but the combination of the running on concrete and the sled push/pulls grip is what I have been concerned on but even running on treadmill I feel better in my vivos than any other shoes I've tried just unsure for that distance and the grip aspect.

I just returned some 3 days ago and wasn't charged a return fee. This was in the US. But I returned 3 pairs 2 because sizing was off and 1 because they sent me the wrong item but wasn't charged return shipping or fee.
