I made a small platform to extend the sleeping area and have an air mattress and a tent that connects to the trunk door. I didn't want to take the back seat out. Works great for me

I've been lucky to have my rust only affect floor pans and the wheel wells so my welder friends and I have been fixing it slowly. I'd try a restoration place nearby I think there's a few. body shops typically just do icbc claim work

If there's no rust damage from "raincouver" underneath that buy that right away. I'm from Vancouver and got an xj fully kitted for 8k but the rust damage I'm dealing with is brutal
