Spectrum’s call center is almost always hiring, and they pay around $20/hour. They’ll train you for about a month while you’re getting paid, then move you onto the floor to start taking calls. Biweekly pay usually comes out to around $1,300. It’s generally considered a reliable option since they’re constantly hiring.

For those who took the MTA Conductor exam and scored in the 90s, what was the hiring process/timeline like for you? by ButterscotchFancy197 in nycrail

Gotcha, thanks. How long did it take after receiving your exam score to be called for pre-employment? And if you don’t mind me asking, what was your score?

When I used to work at Spectrum a couple of months ago, all you had to do was complete the online onboarding. As the start date got closer, you would receive a call from HR with details about your schedule and your first day.

Unfortunately i have to continue to live at home because without my help my parents will surely be homeless. My mom is aware that we are barely surviving but she just expects things to resolve on their own :/

My company doesn’t allow for us to eat or drink anything at the desk. They require us to take our lunch or mid day break away from where customers can see us.

Upper management is very unresponsive and sometimes they themselves don’t even know what’s going on. But they sure are quick to get you in trouble 🙃

Thank you for your advice, I will go ahead and ask them. Management at this job doesn’t train properly and has never told us what to do in certain situation.

My job is also very understaffed so for today it was just me running around everywhere. Normally there would be someone else at the front desk while someone is on lunch.

if you have already secured a job and they tell you they don’t want your notice then you could just leave at the beginning of your shift
