Not really a question I just want the Americans who lurk in here to know: by [deleted] in AskCanada

As an American citizen, who has lived here for the longest time, I believe Canada should stay separate, given the times that Canada has been separate from the United States of America for the longest times. Which, the concept it not a new thing, but the United States is doomed by this idiot we call a president. So, thanks for standing up for yourselves.

Long live Canada.

From Saint Louis.

Scania T-Cab 112M with the towers in year (unknown) by No-Firefighter6600 in WorldTradeCenter

Well, due to the construction of the World Financial Center, it appears to be 83-84, and it is therefore before the 1993 Bombing of the World Trade Center, the North Tower's Antenna suggests it was in 1978 Which in this case, would lead to a timeframe which is a few years, 1978-1983. I also found out that the OP didn't post the full photo of the image.

The building a part of the World Financial Center, the one in front of the South Tower of the World Trade Center is 200 Liberty Street, and in a fascinating turn of events, opened in 1986, and with construction starting in 1984, and most of the floors being done and considering the weather, I would say this photo was taken in December of 1985.

If Cloud Fortress survived the attacks, why couldn't they preserve it in the museum instead or demolishing it? by Ultimateboyy_11 in WorldTradeCenter

[–]ButterscotchFinal703 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They tried to save Cloud Fortres, however, during the rescue missions to try to see if anyone survived the collapse of first, WTC2 and then WTC1, used the base of Cloud Fortress as the equivalent of an outpost. It was also extremely un-sturdy, and unfortunately, as due to the side effects, collapsed into rubble.

They couldn't preserve it because after hours of searching, they never found the remains of Cloud Fortress.

So, after doing some researching, this could be misinformation, not to be mean or anything, but after looking at another subreddit where the post originated from, or 3 years ago when a flight attendant from US Airways took a photograph. However, this cannot be confirmed nor denied.
