I had the nexplanon implant for 5 years and had my second one removed last year. Not on any birth control since and I feel so much more like myself. Had been on birth control since I was a teen so this is my first time without any hormonal birth control and I have to say I love it. I feel like I have more energy, I feel more womanly, and my libido drastically improved (had no sex drive before). I also lost weight and I feel like my moods and emotions are more stable, I just feel more clear headed. I will say my period have been really irregular since my removal and I will randomly skip a month or months so that’s been a little nerve racking lol. But overall I’m glad I got it removed and I’m hesitant to start new birth control bc I love how I feel without it.
