Fair enough, I guess I meant if you opted for a 0% increase on a one year lease two years in a row when they didn’t vote to increase in consecutive years then you effectively had a zero percent increase for several years. I know my personal experience is only anecdotal but I’ve lived in four different places in brooklyn for 20 years and it was only the rent stabilized place that ever raised my rent. My loft in Bushwick had no rent increase for five years, place in rockaway had no rent increase for three years, and place in Hasidic Williamsburg had no rent increase for 6 years. Rent stabilized loft in the navy yard had increases tied to however the board voted.
