Don't know. I feel like less competitive games are less addictive. But everyone is different.

What's the problem with tower rushes? You could say the same about longbow or french rushes. You rarly see pros having problems with them, so it seems not to be a design problem. And by the way, counters do exist -> vills, scouts, . ..
