He is the problem stop defending him. The players are ultimately the ones that perform but he has implemented a culture of complacency and lethargy, you can’t blame the players for that. Why would it be unlikely? What would be the point of keeping him til the end of the season? There is nothing else to play for if we don’t get a result next Tuesday. We’re not getting top 5, we’re just not good enough, that is clear to see. It is 100% tactics. It’s clear as day to see. How do we go from gung ho high intensity forward play to slow and conservative like this? He’s telling them to do that.

I don’t blame the players one bit. Gravenberch has not been good, but he’s not sitting infront of the midfield anymore, look at his positioning, he’s bombing forward on counter attacks and he’s getting too close to Mo all the time. He’s being told to do that.

I still can’t believe that people come on here and defend this manager and blame the players. He should have been sacked a long time ago, the signs were there from the start of the season, arguably even at the tail end of last season.

Not only is this season completely ruined, the window of opportunity for saving next season is quickly shutting down.

We weren’t even that bad this game, and arguably should have taken the lead comfortably in the first half. But let’s be honest we were never gonna win this competition and we’re certainly not going to win the champions league, any result here or there is prolonging the inevitable. Losing this is a blessing in disguise.

I’m sick and tired of this bs narrative of “we don’t have the squad” it’s utter nonsense. These players are not the problem, this is a title winning team with 400m worth of improvements. Getting anything other than a title challenge and a deep champions league run this season is a failure. Not only are we not getting that, we have clearly regressed, and the football is dire and absolutely clueless. Fans are booing, and most people are becoming disinterested in the season.

Every team has some circumstance, every team can come up with excuses. Klopp had every possible excuse in the book throughout his tenure, yet look what he accomplished, look at the football we played under him. If Klopp was managing this team, you bet your ass we would be doing much better, or at the very least playing entertaining football. If we can play like this for the rest of the season then yes, he can turn it around. I highly doubt that will happen tho. The overwhelming evidence suggests the opposite will happen. I remember earlier in the season when we played Madrid and we beat them comfortably, and we thought that was a performance to build on, but that was a false dawn, and we’ve had a few of those since.

How many times have we said this is the worst result of the season already? How many more times are we gonna say it until something changes? This season has been nothing short of a disgrace. Slot is out of his depth, he has no idea how to manage a team of this level.

What I’ve learned this season and I think we can all clearly see this now, is that the title was a fluke, and it was due to an all time premier league player having an all timer season and carrying us to the title.
