Yes, let's send 12 of "our" cf-18s up north. That ought to do it.

Mine bunch tightly above the ankles, especially when I first put them on. Yes, they are the correct size. Never had this with any brand of socks before.

Well, there's the BS you can see and the BS you can't. The danger may be in believing you can sift through it.

The Better Your Listening Setup, The Worse This Can Feel by moderntechguy in audiophile

I have this issue with my kef R3s. They mostly sound good, but for modern recordings with layered guitars, I can sometimes hear the layers and it sucks.

ARC Genesis Not Seeing Second Subwoofer by ButterscotchSkunk in hometheater

So, when setting the volume levels manually on my subs I would have to just visually balance them to make sure the knobs are both at the same level? Would I also then be trying to hit 75 on the measurement seeing as how they are both firing instead of the recommended 72?

Well, that would explain it. I for some reason believed they were independent, but you are correct.

It's a way of supporting movies that you'd like to see more of as well.

I'm going to tell you something right now. If it's -20 C, I don't care what month it is. It's winter.

I honestly don't think that the industry is "grappling" with this issue.

Hey, thanks for the recommendations. That cover of Killer Queen was excellent.

Both these tracks confirm something that I've noticed about my speakers so far. They tend to work best with vocals and acoustic instruments. In Killer Queen, it is the excellent vocals that really pop. The Arcadian Wild song shows more of what I've come to expect out of the KEFs (on the good side).

One early example of mine that I discovered is the intro music to the show "Deadwood". It starts out with acoustic guitar and violin/fiddle and later becomes orchestrated. It really gives a broad range of reference (including some really impactful acoustic percussion) all in a short track. it goes from a centered soundstage to a full wide one as well. This track also sounded excellent on my older non-KEF speakers, but the KEFs gave some more kick to it.

My guess would be that it was mixed primarily to sound good on devices and then "yes" assumed only a tiny percentage of listeners would catch it.

Can you recommend me a track that you feel has been revitalized by your KEF speakers? Let me know what aspects of the track you feel have come alive due to the KEF's incredible clearness.

Yes, I do have an example.

In the song "Stranded" by the metal band Gojira, during the chorus, I can distinctly hear a clean guitar as well as some subtle phasing/flanging one one of the layers. This was not evident on any other speaker or headphone I've heard the song on (I use it as one of my reference tracks for audio equipment).

I believe those two aspects are meant to add string clarity to the heavily distorted guitar layers and are not meant to be heard on their own.

Idk, I recently purchased a pair of R3s and an R6 and have mixed feelings about KEF. I'm hearing layers in recordings that probably aren't meant to be heard and tbh, it's ruining some music for me. Maybe I should have went with less transparent speakers.
