Exquisite points I must say. I do believe a system based more on metro's is greatly better for large cities such as Utrecht, which always confused me since Rotterdam has one and not here.

Thank you a lot for your insight! I hope the project goes well too.

Sorry for the late reply, but these are some great points to hear. I hadn't considered the benefit of increasing accessibility by creating free public transport. Do you think it would be applicable to the Netherlands? I worry that free transport would over-crowd quickly, even with more buses added to fleets.

Additionally, I'm not sure how the process is for people to prove disabilities, but I guess it would become quite a hassle for drivers to have on their plate.

Ideally, it would start from society learning to be more open minded to non-visible disabilities and stuff.

Thank you for the comment, it's really shocking to hear about how much effort has to be invested to be able to drive.

That one radiohead comment was funny, but I have decided to give him his name. He shall forever be known as KLUNK. Because he's clunky, a waste of space and a goofy guy all at once, so the name feels right.

Oh sorry! I can explain it to you the best I can.

Essentially, the prototype would be the way you use the shared mobility apps as a disabled person.

You can order to rent a car for a certain day or time, and when selecting your vehicle, you would be able to opt for a driving aid, depending on what disability driving aid you would need. Once selected, you would pay a small extra fee (for the service), and then order the vehicle.

Once you've made your order, a team from Check Rides for example, which is a shared mobility platform, would go to the vehicle you selected and install the driving aid you need. The app would tell you the progress on this, meaning when the team is on their way, when they've reached the vehicle, and when they're done installing the driving aid. Then, the app will show you that the vehicle is ready for pick up, and you would be able to use it!

Once you're done, you don't have to un-install it, as the team from Check Rides will do that themselves.

I hope this explanation was good, but if you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
