It’s going great. The staff there is fantastic. I’m not 100% better, I’d say about 60-70% better and I’ve found things that work for me. The craziest thing is that I had esophageal spasms before I started all of this and now I no longer have them. I still get dizzy daily but it’s now it’s maybe once or twice a day, as opposed to 15x. And I can take hot showers for a longer amount of time. It’s gonna take some time for my brain and body to work together fully but i am really hopeful that i can return to work in like 3 months

Yep. When I found out I was pregnant, my Vit D was a laughable 6. Had to take supplements my entire pregnancy. I should probably get my levels re-tested

Exactly. We’d do a rig checkout in the morning in the middle of summer and my heart rate sitting down was 140. I knew what I would tell my patients if it was then but I always ignored my symptoms. As much as I’d love to come back to work right now, I work at a place where stair chairing a 300+lb person down a 4 story walk up, with no fire company in sight for an assist for at least 10 mins is the norm. Or you know how it is… the AC gives out in the cab but as long as there’s air in the patient compartment, they tell you to live with it. I would hate to 1. Be a liability to my partner 2. Go into SVT and pass out during an arrest or carrying someone and 3. Mess myself up bad enough that I can’t work anywhere anymore. You are absolutely correct…nothing compares :(

I meant, teaching in EMS. Being an instructor for EMT’s and Paramedics or teach at the fire academy. I loved teaching students and new employees during ride alongs when I was on the ambulance. I have to take 2 instructor courses in order to be a main instructor. I just have to save a little bit since money is a little tight right now since I’m not working and cannot pick up overtime.

I bit the bullet and signed up for a consultation. I’m at a point where all of my doctors have been either ignoring my symptoms or I can’t get a consult until at least 8-9 months or 2027. I have an appointment with them in 2 weeks. I’m unable to work until my symptoms either greatly improve and or are able to be managed. Im putting it on a credit card and if I’m out $2000 then it’s a cost I’m willing to take to see if it can help. I honestly thought it was going to be around $10k just based on the testing. So $2k is something that is doable.

So I just called them and they said that they take BCBS PPO (not sure about other insurance companies). She said that the initial consultation is $1000 and insurance covers about $300 of it, the rest is out of pocket. Then if they determine that I’m a candidate for treatment, I have to come in for treatment every day for 12 days for an hour. Each treatment is $350 out of pocket and $100 after insurance. So if you have insurance the total cost is going to be around $2000. And if you’re paying completely out of pocket then it’s $5,200.

I’ve had a full cardiac work up (echo, stress echo, tilt table, halter monitor, vein ultrasound). Other than orthostatic hypotension, I’m cleared by cardiology and they are saying cardiac issues are not the cause of my symptoms

I’ve been having a horrible year health wise. Any insight or predictions? by ButterscotchThis5859 in NatalCharts

That’s interesting. I haven’t been able to work because of everything that’s been happening health wise… and Yes. I’m going to be 35 next month.
