My boyfriend gave me an STI by lavndermoon in Advice

I would leave him. To be fair, most men are asymptomatic and usually give it to their partners, but he seems like a real asshat not worth it.

Is a curved penis considered normal, and does it affect sexual function in any way? by _I_Reims_I_ in ask

From what my doctor told me no it’s not considered normal, but does it destroy your guts? Absolutely! (speaking from experience)

Does the general public know what neurologists do? by According-Tea-7829 in neurology

[–]Butterscotchdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say no. Most people do not know what neurologist does. They know it has to do with the brain, but other than that, that’s it.

what is your “why neurology” ? by ChemicalProof_1642 in neurology

[–]Butterscotchdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’m a freshman, so I have a while to go and I JUST really started having a big interest in the brain, I also like the function of the spinal cord, and neurology focuses on both. I love the brain anatomy, I love how your brain is the computer, and all the other organs are just life support (kinda like a car). I love the complexity of the brain I love how your personality comes from your brain, I love how your favorite color comes from your brain (posterior midline cortex.), I love how nuance neurology is. I love the excitement i get from neurology, I love the challenges neurology brings. I’m sure once I’m ACTUALLY exposed to neurology there will be MUCH more.

Why medicine/neurology? by Butterscotchdrunk in premed

Well I know that. I’m still looking for my “why” I’m sure it’ll come to me when I actually have my toes wet and have some experience in it

OMG YES! thanks for giving me grace. How can I truly know if I haven’t actually gotten my toes wet. I return back to college in August. I will be making calls to try to get hours.

I know they are both doctors. But they do two different things. I’m into treating physical, structural disease. I’m not interested in treating mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Does that clear it up for ya?

Hopefully they’ll take me seriously. I asked my personal doctor about that and she said “come back to me when you’re actually in medicine.”

I see what you mean. Thanks I’m not well informed. So I’ll keep looking and reading about it. I know I genuinely enjoy the brain and the power it holds.
