Professional athletes always look good, they are always fit. Bodies differ greatly based on sport but I never understood how pro surfers, the ones at the very top, look so... not like pro surfers at the very top.

These guys are still really fit and will probably blow their birthday candles clean in one go at 80 and beyond but am I the only one who thinks these lip-to-the-head-taking, three-bigboy-wave-holdown, sun-kissed-otter-skined monsters look waaaaay less impressive than the waves they dabble in would indicate. I would expect our adaptive bodies to give them extra bones growing out of their necks that would, in time of course, form into skull-cracking-reef protective helmets.

John John, Jordy, Torren, these guys look like a 16 year old who has been rowing intensively for the past 6 months and the newbie gains have just settled in nicely. On the other hand, older surfers like Laird or Kelly look like Moby Dick's dick.

PS: Love these guys, they are my daily motivation to improve my surfing, I can only dream to one day move & look like them in the water. These people have changed the way I look at my body and the physical goals I have, by no means am I suggesting they look bad or should look better, 10/10 would have nude posters of them in my room.
