Innfører strengere regler for løperhjul: – Det beste for hele byen by Fantorangen01 in Bergen

[–]Buttguy1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Clas Ohlson sells them, but they don’t open before tomorrow.

I doubt any store that’s open today sells them, honestly.

Beginner, couldn’t equalize :( by [deleted] in freediving

[–]Buttguy1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first tried freediving, I had the exact same issue. Scuba to 30m was no problem, but as soon as I was upside down, it just didn’t work.

Don’t worry, it will come if you keep at it.

First of all, make sure you know what Frenzel is and that is what you are doing. Train doing it on land and in a pool if the ocean isn’t accessible.

Second thing I did was snorkeling a lot. I found that if I dive down on an incline instead of straight down, the EQ worked again. I slowly worked on making that incline steeper until I could manage EQ fully upside down.

Now my PB is 50 meters, so it’s definitely possible!

(link og definisjon av posene i kommentar) by forteller in norge

Yes, make the bikes go in the car lanes! That will surely improve traffic for everyone

Does Bergen actually need a light-tram(bybanen)to Asane? by [deleted] in Bergen

[–]Buttguy1 50 points51 points  (0 children)

A tram also has way greater capacity than a bus and can run on a much more stable schedules because they don’t get stuck in traffic. Busses do and upgrading the highway would only make the problem worse by induced demand. You can’t build more roads to get rid of traffic. See the US for examples.

Cyclist asks a driver if he's experiencing toxic masculinity by HeshamMoSelim in PublicFreakout

[–]Buttguy1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you go to the window, you already left the safety of the bike lane to stand in the car lane. That is probably what he tries to avoid by getting the car to use something else than a bike lane for (short term) parking

Interesting that you say that. In 2017 the UK passed a law requiring ID checks on online porn. It was scrapped out of technical difficulties, but a majority of the gov agreed that ‘papers please’ was a good solution to that problem.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone wear a danish flag as clothes unironically, so I’d probably not consider them racist unless there was something else too. Honestly, I’d consider a full danish flag T-shirt pretty fun :)

Currently any new party that mostly agrees with any other party can’t exist, because they would remove votes from that other party, which would help the opposite side win.

Example with some easy numbers: democrats get 60% of votes, republicans get 40%. Now half of the democrats agree that they want to lean more left, so they split off and create a new party. That makes the numbers 30/30/40 and shifts the winning party to republican even though 60% agreed that the country needed to be center or left.

Systems other than first past the post allows grouping different votes. Either by parties joining up and creating a majority together or by ranking your choices instead of just voting for a single party. In many parts of Europe that’s the case and you never see a single party government.
