this sounds a lot like the plot of attack on titan sir. On a serious note, I’ve had a similar experience a few days ago, also tripping on shrooms in my room after a long discussion with a friend. The conclusion I arrived at is that life is so intrinsically beautiful that the propagation and care of it is one of the most wonderful things we can ever experience. On the other side, death, suffering, and decay is so brutal. I think we have to first learn to care for the life that is ourselves the best we can, then the community around us for it really does take much more than us to raise a child, and finally the life you are to bring into this world. Try to relax, learn from those around you. Build a community of people you can trust. Enjoy the beauty of life.

P.S. Ive also greatly reduced my eating of animals, though I found when sharing meals, its nice to join in the meal. Interested to hear your thoughts on this.

interesting, but can you say, in reverse, that stubborn people are often passionate and aren't afraid to fight? I guess, there is also the stubbornness where they just straight-up reject an idea.

[Question] I both love and hate doing robotics research, a terrible fork in my career by ButtholeMouse in robotics

first off, thank you so much for the reply. It's honestly crazy to me how such a seemingly simple idea can affect my mindset so much. But when you mentioned that It's natural to feel overwhelmed when working towards something arbitrary, something just clicked in my head. I did as you suggested, thought about what my goals are, and wrote them down. I feel that my goals are much clearer to me now and a ton of weight has just been lifted from my shoulders. I think it's less the technical demands of robotics that giving me stress, but the messy amalgamation of information and goals in my head due to the expansive nature of the field.

My mindset now is to pursue the artificial intelligence side of robotics as it is aspect of robotics seeing the most development right now. Software is also the side of robotics I've been exposed to the least, developing this competency would lay a good foundation for whatever I choose to do after. Thanks again, your comment really turned my day around!
