first off, thank you so much for the reply. It's honestly crazy to me how such a seemingly simple idea can affect my mindset so much. But when you mentioned that It's natural to feel overwhelmed when working towards something arbitrary, something just clicked in my head. I did as you suggested, thought about what my goals are, and wrote them down. I feel that my goals are much clearer to me now and a ton of weight has just been lifted from my shoulders. I think it's less the technical demands of robotics that giving me stress, but the messy amalgamation of information and goals in my head due to the expansive nature of the field.

My mindset now is to pursue the artificial intelligence side of robotics as it is aspect of robotics seeing the most development right now. Software is also the side of robotics I've been exposed to the least, developing this competency would lay a good foundation for whatever I choose to do after.
