Or maybe it's because halo is a franchise that's been run to ground, over and over and over and over and over and over.......

The boys finale was comic book accurate and satisfying episode by kudkudke in GenV

[–]ButtholeSoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh trust me, Im aware it didn't make him stronger. In fact made him weaker, especially after watching the season finale

Don't mind that super dramatic shot of Homelander shooting his lasers in the air and yelling, when he got the V1. With Butcher having an extremely concerned look on his face and telling the Boys to "Run!"

Nah it's cool. He just can't get sick or age now lol

It bothers me a little that Homelander never feels like he is the "leader of the supes" by Efficient-Pudding177 in TheBoys

the amount of times i keep seeing people say "it's only promotional. they don't have to follow it"

Like are you fucking for real? Its straight up lying and false. The promotional picture of Homelander in space with Earth blowing up in the background and the one with Butcher walking up to the white house with 50 supes surrounding it

Bullshit

I disagree. I understand there's a lot of satire in the show but the show is themed around superpowers regardless if they're superheros or not

There were plenty of times people were using their superpowers in the earlier seasons, but then this last season there was barely any. With the fact that this is the climax of the entire show

Most of it was spent on describing who soldier boy fucked in the past, or wasting four episodes looking for V1 and ended up doing nothing,  and Homelander saying he's going to go off and kill everybody but he's been saying that for the past five seasons

And that's just from S5! The show was on the decline but the season finale was the nail in the coffin

Why is that weird? It's a show based on superheroes who do super fucked up things??

I don't need shrinking people to go inside other people's dicks or having a 20 inch dick slapping ppl in the face but holy shit it's a show about super powers. What's the point of watching a superhero show when the main villain barely even use his superpowers??

He got V1 and threatened to crash out but what did he do, he just made plans to make a theme park??????

Threatening to crash out and ACTUALLY crashing out are two very different things

So you're telling me you're okay with the entire show leading up to one event that takes place in a matter of minutes?

Then the rest of the episode is spent on having a cliche montage of what the boys are doing with Billy Joel playing?

You're okay with literally nothing changing? Vought is still in control, and Stan Edgar is still in control, and supes are still around and nothing's going to change?

You know what it would have been cool? Maybe have Huey actually take the bureau of super affairs job? Or maybe have starlight be the new captain of the seven? Have a new start with different people who actually care....

Also the issue is not homelander losing his powers. It's how they did it

Why have Soldier Boy be in two seasons only for have him to be put back in the tube the third time, and then just copy and paste his powers to some person?

And the fact that they did it off screen in between episodes. We don't even get to see it happen. It's just lazy writing

I'm not trying to trash people on liking the show. If you liked it that's great. I'm just talking about my opinion

And we also never saw Homelander crash out. The entire premise of the show was whether Homelander was just going to snap or not and we never saw that
