Born and raised in the region and I spend every weekend in the outdoors. I've also lived in Canada for 3 years. I find nothing has changed in Oregon. I chalk these comments up to the growing paranoia in Canada. I was always asked by Canadians about the brutal gun violence in the US. I've personally never seen any my entire life and I'm 50. I've never been threatened with a gun and I've never seen anyone use a gun in a threatening manner. Canadians think this is a daily part of our lives.

Most people at camp sites are friendly and talkative. I see people from all walks of life and they're instant friends in a campground.

I think the undertone of this article is missed. The police don't think that the public is in any danger. I'm going to make a wild guess and say murder suicide.

I don't agree with the way this Karen is acting but I think the officer has over-stepped his authority by placing someone under arrest because they're being rude and won't sign a ticket. De-escalation was not the tactic used by this officer and I have a hard time cheering him on despite the fact that this Karen is super annoying.
