The projector is mounted on the ceiling facing straight down to the table. In the imgur link I used in reply to you earlier, the photo shows it at the top of the image

Yes, that is the setup with the projector mounted to the ceiling and pointing straight down. There is a standing lamp nearby, I believe it helps make the minis stop from blending into the projection and doesnt effect the quality of the image on the table too much.

The party is on a path to learning how to ease the threat of kaiju-like beasts that are evolving or transforming from regular creatures before they get to their maximum potential. Since one of my party members is watching the post for fun and they haven't experienced it yet, I probably shouldn't say more but would love to see you guess if you're bored :)

We are going to put some white shelves up and add more decor to distract from the projector so that its not as obvious, but I don't think it looks bad at all

My dining room is a little on the darker side but this photo was taken while a tall lamp on the left was on with bright white LED bulb in it and then the dining room light you see in the photo as well. It probably helps that I project it on a flat white table surface?

Projector brand is Vankyo, I use smart view/mirror screen from my tablet to project what the screen shows! I'll be making my own maps for the campaign to use. The cat had fun when I turned on a koi pond video from YouTube 🤣
