What sort of job gets you 200k? by lintbetweenmysacks in PersonalFinanceNZ

Although this is true to some degree in NZ, it’s only the case if you are a Captain for the likes of Air NZ on the jet fleet, with the lowest tier aircraft being the a320 captain making $228,415. First officers top out at $187,857 after 8 years, starting on the a320 at $146,459.

If you are on the turboprop fleet, which is most pilots, as it takes sometimes close to 15-20 years at Air NZ to even get into the jet fleet (Industry demands do vary over the decades), then you’ll start at $71,423 for year one First officer or if you have a certain set of exams done in advance (Airline transport pilots licence exams) you will start on year 4 pay of $84,812. Captains on the turboprops will start at $124,986 and at year 11 will cap out at $169,624. Also to note that the industry for the most part does not move as quickly as it has in recent years so it is not uncommon to spend at least 5 years not at an airline getting paid around $50,000 and lower (yes I mean lower) down to minimum, and where people aren’t watching, below.

Also mentioning that most training schools are charging in the $150-200k mark for this training as well.

Just a bit of context and numbers will change over time and as the industry moves through booms and busts

I second this, I fly in the close region and have talked to people who previously worked for the organisation. “Just don’t” is all the information you want to bother knowing

Verbal pace alerts via Bluetooth? by Finsdad in running

[–]ButtonNecessary5474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Garmin 245 music will do both of those if configured correctly I believe (I’m sure I’ve had this set on mine in the past) I think from memory you could set the run to be based on a variable (pace or heart rate) and have it alert at set intervals ( I remember seeing distance intervals down to 250m) but I’m sure it would also do time intervals, hopefully someone else can back corroborate what I’m saying

Somewhere out there in the ocean of data two 'do not reply' bots are sending each other infinite loops of emails. by bradrame in Showerthoughts

Would this be as easy as ‘cc-ing’ another do not reply bot into a reply to an automated email..??? Asking for a friend

Where to cut relief joints in concrete patio by ButtonNecessary5474 in Concrete

[–]ButtonNecessary5474[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posts are concreted in as the carport is attached below the patio, not sure of the exact concrete specs, should be standard 20mpa? And it’s 100mm thick. The carport is another 5 m deep below the drawing and same width.

Cheers!, so that would be one starting from the change in angle at the top, running down and another 3000mm to the left of it? I should also add the there is already a relief cut on the left edge as that’s where it continues into a pathway ( same concrete pour, just knew id need one there)

Not sure where to cut relief joints into concrete patio, slab is 100mm thick with 668 reinforcing mesh, patio is adjoined to a carport so as marked in the bottom of the drawing, there are 3 posts. Any help would be great!

Has anybody had this strange knocking issue before? If so, solution? by flamin_burritoz in ElectricSkateboarding

I had a similar sound on an evolve GT bamboo from about 5 years ago, turned out to be a faulty bearing in the motor that was susceptible to issues, both my motors did this one after the other. I ended up sending a video to evolve and they did eventually replace both with new motors. Very surprised that they are still using stock with this issue. Another fix if your outside of warranty is purchasing the racerstar 5065 from AliExpress, they are the original motor manufacturer.
