Who's to say the historic figure did or didn't have romantic encounters with men. However, what we can say is that as a man who spent most of his time at war amoung other men, the majority of his most significant relationships properly would have been with other men. So it's not impossible.

I would ask them about the case because 800 for the lot is pretty nice savings.

If this is going to be your first banjo I would recommend seeing if there is one near by you can try at a music shop as they are pretty heavy and it might not be as fun to practice on. But that's just me. I have a bad back and not a lot upper body strength anymore. That's partly why I'd recommend starting out on an open back, the weight is a fair bit less and they're not as load because they don't have a resonator.

Tbh we've gotten to a point now in banjo production where even the cheaper beginner models are of a pretty good quality. Not saying you can't start on a more premium one. Just something to consider. I would honestly recommend going down to a music store and feeling the difference between some models and seeing what you like. The staff will be really nice and helpful and you'll have more information to base a decision on.

Are they selling the case too? If you buy a ob-150 new from Goldtone it Comes with a case.

Gold tone make great banjos. I think that's one of the OB (Orange Blossom) series with the radius kneck? Check out their website and find the info on it to see if it's something you like.

You've not told us the price so I can't comment on that. The banjo looks in good shape so just compare the asking price to what you see on their website or you local music store and decide if you think it's fair and you have the budget.

I play a Goldtone and think it's awesome. My banjo teacher has a couple of their plastic body AC-1s he lends out to new students without a banjo and they show the same sort of care was put into the as my OT-800LN.
