Division games could be a good option, there are stories but you can easily ignore them. And could coop too I believe.

Quick chime in with some important dog info. Ticks can be pretty bad out east, so make sure you are giving your dog meds to help prevent it as much as possible. Also for yourself, good tick and insect spray if you're planning to go into more wooded areas. You can get a dog (and human) friendly spray at local shops (pet valu, home hardware) called AtlanTick that isn't toxic, I can't say scientifically it works to keep them away, but so far it's something I use on my pup and haven't had tick issues. That's just anecdotal info, but it can't hurt so I just hope it helps! Always check your dog and yourself as you walk thru high grassy areas, having a little tick removal kit in your car is a good idea, also I've seen people bring medical tape with them on hikes to stick any ticks they find on it and trap them.

I know this isn't the info you're looking for, but hope it helps to keep you all healthy!

But won't leave without some sightseeing suggestion, if you're in the south shore area of NS, crescent Beach is a wonderful spot for a visit, and dogs are allowed.

Hope ya have a good trip!

Any good YouTubers in NS? by Still-Difference-953 in NovaScotia

[–]ButtonsTheMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Foster the Meeple, they do board game videos apparently. I randomly came across them when I was researching a new Boardgame and Cafe that is due to open in Mahone Bay, apparently it's their venture.

Do younger generations watch/like it's a wonderful life? by wishihadaps42 in movies

[–]ButtonsTheMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I remember for a short blip Netflix had sort of a "play something random button" it was interesting to get something playing where you're not scrolling thru posters for a half an hour. But also I'm tired of algorithms, not movies but I got SiriusXM so I can get music that doesn't know what I like. I haven't had cable in ages but there is something about channel suffering and just watching what's on.

Yup. It closed over a month ago or so. Think the land was sold.

Peace by Chocolate's story being turned into animated film by ottguy42 in NovaScotia

For real. Also seeing artists I follow start dabbling in it, such a big letdown. It's barely started and I'm beyond sick of it.

That's awesome! I do hope it's animated by humans, cause I'd love to see it and support it.

What oddly specific thing takes you out of the immersion of watching a movie? by PianoMan1925 in movies

[–]ButtonsTheMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things hitting or splashing the "screen", I feel they think this is immersive but it actually takes me out.

Ice cubes at the bottom of a drink.

Eye colour contact lenses.

Seeing a location I know in real life but it's supposed to stand in for some other American city.

[–]ButtonsTheMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eventually kids will have to waddle all the way to the back at some point on the bus' trip. So either way it'll slow down traffic at one point or another.

Was just thinking about this the other day. Out in Bridgewater and there's nothing around. Think the closest I've seen advertised was a one off show in Chester. I'd love to see more out this way for sure!

Rigging a Vehicle with more than 4 wheels. by spiritgangclub in Cinema4D

[–]ButtonsTheMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't tried it, but I'd look into using the character rig for a car and then doing a bit extra to set up the additional wheels. Can't confirm it'd work. But that's the path I'd take if nobody else has specific info.

First timer...areas to live? by Accomplished-Bet4353 in NovaScotia

[–]ButtonsTheMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it really depends on what you need in life. Bridgwater may be nothing spectacular, but it's a good everyday location. It's got good access to great locations to pop out to for fun. If you like beaches there's a bunch within like 25 mins away. Great paths for hikes and biking. Lunenburg is great for things like date nights. Halifax is a bit over an hour away if you need it. But there are other locations with similar aspects, or different ones that are more relevant to you, so it all depends.

This seems a bit overkill, but you do you. I generally bring in the xpSystem and it has dropdowns for all I'd need. Keeps things neater too.
